DLC is pretty good, really intense, creepy and you can beat it several different ways. It also has nothing to do with the main game. The main problem is that it's 20 minute tops. Sure you can beat it several different ways to make it an hour experience. Future DLC better not be 5 bucks a pop because it would be a huge ripoff.

HOLY CRAP!

I started playing this game at 11:30 and now just forced myself to leave the game! This has to be one of the most addictive and engrossing games i've ever played. I gotta say there's a ton of scenes in this game that are just heart pounding good.

BTW can someone PM or put in spoiler tag for me the areas of the game where it branches out for multiple outcomes so that after my first playthrough I won't have to go back to the beginning.

Anyways a couple things:

I really loved the scene where you have to drive down the freeway at breakneck speed in the wrong lane. That was just too intense for words. I almost didn't get Ethan out of the car in time.

The escape from the warehouse by Ethan and Madison was spectacular and again I nearly got myself in hot water as the cops were literally on my tail!

Overall this is more then just a game it's an experience. I sure do hope more games are made of this ilk.

My advice is just to play the game the first way normally. IGN has a very good trophy guide/endings guide walkthrough. Google that after you have beaten the game.

Oh and I love playing as Shelby! I make him a bit of a bumbler as he lost the first fight in Lauren's apartment and nearly got killed in the convenience store. I'm surprised I beat up the thugs in Gordi's room though.Actually a lot of the stuff Shelby does is pretty endearing like when he went to Miss Boyle's house and he had to patch her up and then take care of her baby. That was real sweet.

Hell, I'd play a game like this if it only featured Shelby!

Man! I finally picked this up yesterday from Gamestop and am blown away by the feeling of actual weight to the decisions you make. Despite the limited control, I can honestly say I've never had such an emotional reaction to what I'm doing in a videogame (maybe it's being a father myself that draws it out...I dunno).

I know I'm late to all of this, but a couple things that struck me...

My first big "wow" moment came in that religious nuts house. I reasoned with him until his gun was down and then BAM! he turns on Blake. I ended up letting him live, but it was admittedly an accident. I saw the R1 pop up and it must not have registered it. Turns out it was just a cross. My instincts almost killed the poor nut...lol.

Then there was the scene where you must cut off a finger. I didn't hesitate, but that had some of the most raw emotion attached to it, IMO.

I thought that would be the peak of "how far would you go..." until I reached the scene with the drug dealer a bit ago. I went there fully ready to do the deed (I made the decision that I will do ANYTHING to save my son and besides, it is just a game ) and felt even more sure as I was dodging shotgun blasts while running through his house. Then the bastard pulls out the kids photos in the kids room and I froze. I officially became connected to Ethan at this point and felt truly conflicted.

After deliberating in my head (both via Ethan and reality) I reluctantly made my choice..."I'm a father too...but I'm not a murder."

Freakin' Brilliant!

Whew what a game. Got it yesterday from gamefly and just beat it now at 2 am. Loved loved loved it. Can't wait to redo some stuff before I send it back

My friend and I played this for several hours Saturday night...wow. This game is as fun to watch someone else play as it is to do so yourself. I think this has got to be one of the best stories, if not the best, story I've ever seen in a videogame. It reminds me quite a bit of Se7en.
