Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)
Chapter 14..unlucky, glitchy, chapter 14.
Spoiler
So ch 13 is fairly long and I am presumably at the end. I got to Joe, we escaped and fighting my way down. I get to the bottom, kill all the men, except one that surrenders, and nothing. You can't go any further, can't walk out the doors, stuck. So I reload, kill everyone and same. I notice Joe isn't around. I make my way all the way back up and finally find him just standing there, won't move. So I reload again. This time, I go back up, find Joe and he follows me this time. Yay. I kill everyone, but then there is one red triangle that is nowhere to be found. Not upstairs, not downstairs, nowhere. Broken again. An hour I have been fighting the same dozen or so guys and walking back and forth up this building. Ugh.
Edit: It was Ch 14, and I did finally get past it.Last edited by Burns11; 08-28-2010, 11:33 AM.Comment

Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)
Beat it. 12:57 is my time.
Fun as heck.
SpoilerSo, they killed Joe? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I smell a Mafia III where we go and get revenge for that. Vito didn't look too happy.
Loved the ride. This game has some of the more fun shootouts I can remember in a game. Especially the last one. And like I mentioned before, for some reason I just loved driving around in this game. Empire Bay is a fairly lively town. Now, there isn't much to do in it, but it's a bustling city.
Also, I loved the time period. The cars, the music, the suits, everything. Especially the suits. I felt like Don Draper if he was Italian and killed people.
I can definitely see myself revisiting this game in a month or two. I rarely bother beating shooting games, but this one I beat in 4 days. It had me hooked from start to finish. I'm putting this next to RDR on the "Never sell this" part of my shelf.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

He may flip ****, kill everyone, and go after Joe for all we know. Or, Joe may fend for himself and get out of it... they both had a tendency to do that all game.
Either way, great story, and I'm excited for the next one!Comment

What is in the Renegade pack? I have the code from Amazon but was thinking about saving it for when I sell it.

Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)
All of the bonuses were two outfits and two cars.
Found on 2k forums via google:
<!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Renegade pack:
2 cars:
2 clothes for Vito:
Made-Man Pack
2 cars:
1 clothing(it seems), can't find screens for the other one:

shows the cars and outfit for the Greaser Pack if no ones seen it.
Only shows one outfit though.

The one car, the pickup dragster, is available in game (it's what the greasers drive).Comment

Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)
Uhhhg, playing on hard difficulty, and had to replay part of a mission over and over until I had a fast car spawn. Not sure if it was a bug, or if it was because I my garage was full and I had just jacked a car, but after I failed the first time, it never respawned my car. Can someone please post the Chapter the part my spoiler is in, to make sure that others playing on hard difficulty have a fast car, from their garage, for it?
SpoilerIt's the part where you have to Warn Leo. Need a fast car to make it to Leos and break the gate down to get into his house.
I literally played through that part like 20 times, because I was bound and determined to prove I could do it with 'any' car. Needless to say, the game won on that front, and I had to restart the mission until a fast car with an open top (convertible) spawned. It had to be an open top so I didn't burn time picking the lock.Last edited by Valdarez; 08-29-2010, 02:14 PM.Comment

re:
SpoilerChapter 11 I think.
A sports car actually spawned the first time but I made it to the door right as time ran out so I had to do it again. The second time I jacked a 55 chevy look-a-like and got there no problem. I just smashed the window and turned off the speed limiter on straightaways and whenever cops were close.

Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)
SpoilerWhy waste time picking the lock anyway? Also, why run with a speed limiter for this? The cops might try to chase you down, but you should be able to keep going and when you get to Leo's the cut scene will take over.
Does hard give you significantly less time? I was able to get there with plenty of time to spare on medium.Comment
