I turned them off instantly, but I'm wondering if the overall feeling is that it makes the game either much too hard, or you end up tapping X on every single thing.

Honestly, that's how I found the gun in the very first case. I just tapped X and up he looks to see it.
I kept the music on the first time through because I didn't want keep looking for things when I had everything. I figured the rumble would be annoying because the on-screen prompt to pick up an object is enough, so I turned that off my first-time through.

As you progress you definitely get a feel of what to look for and where to look for things, so you don't really need to pick up all those apples, cups, or packs of cigs.

Lol same exact thing I did.

I also instantly turned all the prompts off.

So you always get an on-screen prompt to pick up an object even without the rumble? That's a bit disappointing.

As for the music cue, I didn't look at it like that. Interesting POV. I saw it as: I don't want the music to tell me I need to keep looking if I think I'm done. But, it sure would suck to spend a lot of time looking for more clues when there are none to find.

Guess I need to decide which is worse for me.

The second my controller rumbles when I was near a bottle, I turned it off. I found it annoying and I can't see how I can be expected to be a detective and have the game help me.

Personal choice as I don't know if I find that gun so quickly without having tapped X near the window. Something just told me, tap x here since the window is open.

Though I guess that's how you're supposed to think as a Detective.

Only got to play for about 15 minutes so once I found the gun I had to jet. Will hopefully play some more tomorrow or Sunday. Time. Not enough time at all.

To be honest, I can't remember exactly if there was an actual on-screen prompt for picking up stuff or not. It's been a couple months since I've played it, but for some reason I think there was haha. I know there were prompts part of the time at least.

I would wait on this game bc they will not be a new LA Noire coming out anytime soon and NCAA comes out every year. Both are good games.

I also turned back on vibrating controller after turning it off the first few cases. The next time i'll turn it off.

there are no que's if everything is off. I have the music on only to let me know if I've found everything or not - beyond that there are no glowing icons or anything. I'm a completionist in a sense...I think the way i did it is the best, no stingers when you're close, no obvious things, beyond music playing...and I think i've even just continued without it turning off here and there when I know I have loads to go on if that makes sense....

i turned everything off. makes it too easy IMO. sometimes i did tap X on everything but after a while u kind of get a feel of what to press X on.

hard to say man, its 2 different games. just depends on what u feel like playing. i have both and both are great games. i will say this though, NCAA has a freezing problem right now. the game have frozen on many people in different parts of the game. i just had to replay my last dynasty game because the game froze in the 4th quarter. everyone is waiting for a patch.

with Noire you wont have to worry about that.

I kept the music and chimes on. I had taken a class at my University all about Noir films, and I think that the chimes and the music do give it that 'Noir' sense.

I'm just glad they didn't make the entire game in black & white lol.

And I don't think it made the game easy because there was still a few things I found I missed. All in all though I loved this game

This game is amazing. And as I've mentioned elsewhere, I haven't really gotten into Rockstar published games. I get bored of them quickly. I've easily put more time into this over the weekend then I did RDR.

Had my first interrogation where I had to decide between two suspects. I'm still worried I arrested the wrong man. Is that possible?

My captain was upset with how I handled it. It was my worst case. For some reason I couldn't figure the lies from the truths. I blame the suspect's ability to read my mind. That's my final answer.

Without spoiling things with specifics I'd say nothing you do is "wrong" it's just that all the decisions you make (conversations, evidence found, arrests, etc.) basically effect your star rating at the end of a case.

It allows you to play the game again making different decisions for different or optimal outcomes.

Just went to Arson. To me the game is losing steam. I feel like I just want to get it over with so I can move to another game. Im the opposite of CMH, RDR was a far better game to me than this.

Just finished it & overall it was ok. The wow factor that happened when you see the new face/emotion technology faded half way through the game but I still enjoyed it at times. Ending was meh.
