Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
That's too bad.
While this game wasn't perfect I do think what Team Bondi and R* tried to do was well worth it and it was taking video games into a new direction (same goes for the developers of Heavy Rain) Hopefully R* continues in this effort with more cinematic/interactive type of games.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm pretty sure Rockstar said they wouldn't rule out doing a sequel somewhere down the road, even with Team Bondi out.
EDIT: Here it is.
Rockstar has revealed that another L.A. Noire game could still happen in the future.
When L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi closed in 2011, many assumed that L.A. Noire would be the only game in the franchise. In a new Q&A on its official site, Rockstar says that isn't necessarily true.
"Don't count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise in the future," the post reads. "We simply have not decided anything. We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for L.A. Noire as a series. We don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually – see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that – we have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing."
The post also confirms that "there won't be any more DLC or additional content for the current release of L.A. Noire" as Rockstar is "too busy working on Max Payne 3, GTAV and other games to come."Last edited by BlueNGold; 03-02-2012, 09:10 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I started playing through this again this past weekend. I went through the patrol tutorial levels (which for having the choice to skip them, the voice-over dialogue certainly foreshadows quite a bit) and the first two traffic cases. I understand the game has its faults and doesn't flesh everything out, but replaying the game feels like watching one of my favorite tv shows again.

I watched some crime solving murder shows on tv over the weekend and that got me to thinking about playing through this again for the 2nd time.I started playing through this again this past weekend. Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I picked this up last week and have been really engrossed in the game. I've finished 7 cases so far and I'm already itching to fire the PS3 back up to play more. This game has a nice mix of things I like; action, storytelling, character development, side missions and puzzle solving (I think of the clues like puzzles).
Some of the facial expressions of the people you interview are a little over the top, but outside of that, I haven't found too much I dislike about this game. The music is great, too, but that's not a surprise as Rockstar always has great music.
I never got into the GTA series, but this type of game is right up my alley.Currently Playing:

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Started playing again after some time off because responsibility and a few other things just stopped me from playing it
Still enjoying the scenery in the game and the character interaction overall
I think when I finally finish it im going to play it again and look for different scenarios the way things are handled, interrogating people differently and suchComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Did anybody else find this game too repetitive?
I mean it was a pretty good game and had a good story to go along with it, I think they should have a added something else to the game besides just searching the scene and then interrogating.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
A lot of people.
It was the main gripe with the game I'd say.
I wish the finding of paths to the crimes....and clues and definitely the interrogations would have been more open ended.

I always wish you could not solve the case and it lead to a different story, but that is asking too much.Comment
