Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
I use claymores, stopping power, and extreme conditioning with my sniper class. It's kind of pointless to use overkill because 1 minute into the match there's going to be weapons everywhere for you to pick up so you don't really need to start out with a 2nd gun. Stopping power just makes it much easier to snipe because you don't have to go for a headshot to get the kill.
The last perk, I just use extreme conditioning to help me get from place to place quicker. None of the other yellow perks seemed to fit well with the sniper. Deep impact really isn't that important because the sniper's bullets go through pretty much any surface anyway. You could use iron lungs I guess, but I never need more than 4 seconds to take a shot on someone so I don't really need it.
I'm going to experiment with extreme conditioning...especailly important at beginnning of matches to get into position.
Dead silence is good imo too.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
that totally depends on the map, and I've found on harcore tdm it's a great asset to have, especially since you don't need stopping power. Deep impact has gotten me a ton of kills, but again it's map sensitive - the bullet goes through faster and with more force, you can actually kill someone in one shot only with it.

I think sniper is the only setup I have that uses extreme conditioning. All my other classes have either Dead Silence or Steady Aim, neither of which works well on a sniper. I use steady aim on my MP5, so I don't have to bring up the sights when firing at close ranges. And I use Dead Silence with my M16 and M4 since that is what I mainly use in S&D so I can move around without anyone hearing me.Last edited by Sandman42; 04-04-2008, 03:43 PM.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
So what does everyone think of the new maps??? I only got to play them briefly for about 45 mins, never did get kill house. Creek is HUGE. Overall, I'm pleased. Double XP weekend on the new maps is nice too.Comment
