I won't have the game til tomorrow Pared, but you might wanna pass on this one. It is still an RPG first, action second. They were pretty clear about that from the start.

That's the thing though; I LOVE RPG's.... but I think I enjoy Japanese style RPG's more so than American RPG's.

FF, Chronotrigger, DW... the traditional, Nintendo system based RPG's are ones that I enjoy the most. I couldn't get into KOTOR despite the rave reviews but I always wondered if it was b/c I was playing on the PC....

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to your impressions regardless. I may just throw it on my gamefly queue at the bottom and if I get it, I'll give it a shot.

I'm sure it will be just as noticeable as in the KOTOR games and Jade Empire, which is, you're going to see technical issues a lot.

I'm not worried about tech issues. Every video game has them. We see them much more in games of this volume.

I've grown to accept that all electronics will suffer from some form of technical issue now and then. So long as the issue doesn't prevent you from completing the game or make the game unplayable then I'll live through a hiccup in frame rate.

With these review scores being so high, these issues must not be that bad. The TeamXbox review mentions that it doesn't get in the way. By the way, not that it matters, and I know the two are affiliated, but TeamXbox's review seems to be better written than IGN's.

Certainly didn't take anything away from the experience for me in their past games, which is a real testament to BioWare that there games are so good in other areas (especially presentation) that it more than makes up for the technical issues.

And after 24 hours and some odd minutes of play I've beaten the game. However, there was a lot of stuff I didn't do.... I didn't know the main quest would be that short. I'm probably going to go back and pick a different background story and try to complete more of the game. Overall my feeling of this game can be summed up in one word - incredible!

Holy crap. What are the achievements in this game? I see you got zero so far. Are they way hard or what?

Cool! Seems like there are good variety to play different types of characters. It still bother me that the game can be completed in a day.

There is time when the game will kinda clip and a "Loading" message will appear on the screen. While it is annoying it isn't a game killer. Plus some time it takes extra time for the textures to load, I haven't tried clearing the cache to fix this yet. This only occurs in conversations and its only like a 2-3 second delay and its not all the time.

no, I've got 16/45 achievements they just don't show on the Xbox website, my guess is due to the fact since the game isn't officially out yet they don't show. If you're on my XBL friends list you may be able to see them direct on my profile.

Or if people want I can post a listing on all the achievements in the game.

However, I can see why some people are beating the game in 12 hours. The sidequests and free-form exploration could use some work. The optional planets are way too large for the pitiful amount of content they have, but, since it's their first pass at it, I'll let it slide.

The problem with the sidequests is that they are hardly worth completing. The root of the problem is the loot system has had the life sucked out if it. Usually, Bioware gets this part right so I'm going to complain. In Baldur's Gate and KOTOR, you would constantly be finding items like a Staff of Wizardry or Jango Fett's Blaster Rifle. When it would pop up on your screen, you would go, "Oooo...I wonder what this does" and, immediately, jump to your inventory to look at its stats.

You kill Davik, the smuggler leader? You get Davik's armor. Hey! Killing is fun!

Items like that don't really exist in this game so the only reward for doing quests and killing bosses is money and XP. I think I may have seen a few unique weapons, but they weren't from sidequests nor were they treated as if they were anything special. I'll still do all of the sidequests for the story and dialogue, but the loot needs some personality. Oh, and, also, every sidequest reuses the same 4-5 maps.

This is really disappointing to me. Let us know if you are still experiencing this. Side quests should have a lot more reward than just XP and money. And the re-using of maps is troubling, too. I'll be able to see all of this for myself tomorrow.

IT's funny how IGN gives this game a 9.4, and Kills AC a 7.7. when in there review they say that Mass Effect has Glitches, poor AI, and weak squad mechanics weigh the game down, so how does it still get a thats much better review then what the gave AC....Gaming reviews are so overated and weak.

It's Hilary Goldstein, and the "bad story" and "repetitive gameplay" had the biggest part in why Assassin's Creed got the score it did from him. Erik who reviewed Mass Effect said if he was on the Assassin's Creed review his score would've been a bit higher.
