Just had the weirdest ending to a fight I've ever seen, Cammy (me) vs. Dudley (online random)...

I had a big lead in the 3rd round, but screwed up and made it a lot closer than it should have been. It got down to both of us with the last of our life left. I get Dudley knocked down and go for a wakeup focus attack while he does an EX counter (not sure what the move's name is). The focus attack takes the rest of his life and K.O. flashes. Despite that, Dudley goes into his head bob move and slugs me three times, none of which do any damage. Then immediately after that, he falls over dead! The counter would have killed me if the focus attack hadn't been enough.

damn man, I'm getting better, but this is seriously like picking up a new sport. It takes weeks if not months to get good, unless of course you're an execution master.
I notice i kick much more *** when im really alert, late at night i lose a LOT more fights. In the morning-early afternoon i rarely lose.

Mo, do you use plinking at all? they say it helps with links, but it actually doesn't seem to help me unless im doing it wrong.

Weak, I only just got home. Looks like I missed out. Anyone planning on being on soon? I'll keep checking on xboxlive.com to see if any of you guys decide to sign on. Otherwise I'll be playing The Show.

GGs last night to KC and GGs earlier today to Candyman & frostbyte. I think I fixed my connection issues I was having earlier, we'll see next time we get together.

@Vast, I try to plink every link I use. I can hit 2+frame links pretty consistently, but 1 or 2 frame links are pretty difficult for me without plinking.

@thai I'll probably be on late (12ish EST), if anyone is around i'll send out invites.

Good fights rawdeal, I need all the practice against Guiles and Blankas that I can get...LOL. That was a pretty nasty Seth too, especially in the first match - I never saw that Super Combo coming.

I love this game to death but I do have one Question: Has all the Street Fighters Blocking System been as gay as the one in Super 4? I mean no guard gauge is really stupid. You should not be able to block an ultimate that hits you like 5 to 6 times and not have consequences. Also the whole being able to block in the cut scene portion of the Ultimate kind of sucks. Someone would be running at you about to attack and you initiate the Ultimate attack. Next thing you know he has already completely stopped and has his guard up??? Maybe I am missing something? The only way I found to get through an Block is to do an charged attack to them but most of the time they dont allow it.

NOTE: I AM NOT BASHING THE GAME, IM JUST ASKING IF THERE IS SOMEWAY AROUND THIS.

Street Fighter EX had guard break, SFIII had parries, SFIV has...focus attacks, lol.

If your opponent is blocking after the ultra-activation screen it's because he wasn't attacking, or he did attack and has recovered from his move already.

By no means am I an expert, but it basically involves hitting two buttons very quickly almost at the same time and it gives you an extra chance to hit 1/2 frame links. Here are a couple of links on it

ggs Mo and KC. I didnt stick around long cuz 1) i still suck lol, especially against Bison and 2) the headset adapter for my TE stick doesn't fit my headset

So unless i use my old Hori crappy stick i can't chat during endless battles.

Lol, no its just its stupid not to have an guard gauge. Im dealing with it, its just irritating.
