Oh, and Chun Li has been promoted to 2nd. She's not close to Rufus yet, but another week or two in the dojo, and she might be a problem.Comment

Damn, you actually go to the arcade to play this? You're serious with this Street Fighter. You're like the 2009 version of the Wizard. All you need is a power glove.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Blanka is the character for the thinking caffeine addict. He requires a bit of spazziness but also demands consideration for everything he does. He doesn't possess any dominating characteristics, just a solid mix-up game via his Surprise hop, an effective ultra, and a set of generally safe special and normal attacks.
now u know how i feel about ur Vega. sometimes i wanna throw my controller. ARGH!!
^^^^That's what bothers me. Some Blanka players are getting away with a lot more than they should for their skill level. With Rufus, I've shut down the electricity and Blanka Ball spammers, but I still have to figure out all of Blanka's gimmicks, and react to his super fast jump better.
we need to fight so badly. i really want to see what ur Rufus is all about.
Yea scrubby Blankas used to be a pretty bad matchup for me as well. Once I started punishing blocked blanka balls with dash>rekka I improved, I just still have trouble with the really good blankas. My problem is that really good blankas will never blanka ball you from far away therefore I can't dash>rekka>mixup. They usually only blanka ball when they know it's a guaranteed hit. Fei's flame kick can stuff all blanka balls but I just don't have the reations to do it. I also can't FA since BBs break armor. If I can't take away his blanka ball pressure I usually lose.
Good Giefs were also pretty bad for me until I started stuffing his lariat with chicken wing. A gief who can't get in is hilarious.
that Backstep Roll is danger too. i catch so many people off guard with it. the reason i started playing with Blanka is because he is such a good counter against the Shotokans. since everybody and thier mama picks Ken or Ryu it made me not want to use them anymore. so i started using Blanka and we been married ever since lol.
on another note, playing online has really turned me off to Ryu and Ken that i hardly use them anymore. on SF2TURBO i was a beast with Ken now i lose to scrubs online sometimes when i pick him. im decent with Ryu but nowhere i need to be to challlenge the good players. and if there is any lag (which there is a good portion of the time), forget about it. ill most likely lose."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
yea but will they take psn cards

Just got in a bunch of really good matches with Born. Man .. that was tough. But it was lots of fun though, and he gave me a TON of really good pointers. Now it's all about actually executing ... thanks man!Comment

I generally agree on all points you make with Blanka. But listen to my Blanka story for a moment...
Today I got my first chance to play against top level competition. True 2nd tier SoCal talent. This is a guy who has beaten many of the names out here, and those names are at the top of the American rankings. I found out that my Rufus is lower 2nd tier, which is great, but that's besides the point. I pick Blanka for hte first time EVER, just to see what he does against him, and I almost WIN. This is a guy whose Rufus is a bit better than mine, and I have to really pull out all the stops to beat him with my best character, and NEVER having used Blanka, I almost win. Yuck. I'm not complaining, but damn you Blanka!!
Thaimashu, great games, dude. One day you'll meet RufusGood stuff though, you were already making good adjustments. Don't let the scrubs scare you off of that cross up. They're just jealous.
As a side note, I learned that I'm a tourney level player. Not tourney winning, lmao, but tourney competing. I'm excited. I might have a chance to really do some damage in this game.Comment

Feel your pain on that one. I was off to a pretty good start with Ken, until I realized that all of online was using him. Glad I found Rufus. He's super fun, and no one uses him because he looks too awesome for them to comprehend.
