Two questions: Do you guys just salvage everything that you aren't wearing and using after you go hunting? And what is the tiny potion symbol on some items on some gear in the top right corner next to its name? Some are blue, some red ect...

I've wondered that as well (the icon on the gear).

I salvage almost anything I'm not going to immediately use - usable loot drops so frequently now that there's just no reason to hang onto everything you find. It was different back in the Auction House days on PC - good drops were scarce and you weren't guaranteed of finding something much better than you were using for a while. And you need to salvage for the materials to have the Blacksmith create stuff.

For the second question, those are dyes. It represents the color of the item, and you can buy dyes from merchants to change that color.

You should be fine. I joined a friend who was level 62 with a level one character and I was fine. There is some damage normalization.

As stated before... the potion (and color) is the dye.

If there's a purple mark (I think it's a star/asterisk type looking thing, but not sure as I'm not on my Crusader atm) above/below that potion mark (or in it's spot, for gear that can't be dyed) means the gear has been transmogrified.

If a stat has a circle to the left of it (aside from sockets, I don't think those show anything iirc) it means that stat was rolled for at the enchanter.

It brings you up so you won't die in one smack.

Doug and Brett were running around at (I think it was mid-to-high 30s at that point) and I hopped in with them at level 1. I didn't really do *too* much damage (no skills/gear to normalize with) but I wasn't getting smoked left and right.

I forgot what it is called, but there is a feature to even players out when they join someone who is a higher level.

                    Apprentice mode I believe.

And man, gotta love the RNG. Ran a few rifts with my DH on torment with no legendary drops. Next rift, I hit 4 legendaries in the first 5 minutes, including Born's set plan. Crafted the chest piece, and it easily outpaced my level 60 Natalya's Embrace.

Also got lucky at the shard vendor and landed the Homing Pads shoulders. At that point, I had been running a rare set of like level 65 shoulders, so the level 70 Homing Pads were far better.

I think it's about time for torment 2.

Picked this up last night and got my Monk to lvl 11. Had a lot of fun really enjoyed the little time I played. Still confused on some things but I'm sure it will all come to me.

Hope to get online with some of you if my connection holds up. Anyone around my lvl add me.

Finally hit level 70 with my Witch Doctor last night. He needs some gear to be truly unstoppable but having no trouble soloing torment due number of pets I have.

Now moving on to Wizard I think. Not sure. Maybe Barbarian.

                                My impressions:

This game is so ****ing awesome!!!

But seriously, it is. Between this and Madden (plus a growing backlog) I've got my hands full. I don't foresee myself playing anything outside of those two titles for quite a while though...
