Re: Diablo 3
Something to perhaps be aware of, even though it didn't affect me at all (and I have a digital copy):

Fired it up after patching, went to a heavily populated area and started killing, and my XP went up as normal.Comment

Re: Diablo 3
I'm so disappointed with the patch today.I'll be back when they get their heads out of their asses and actually listen to the communities feedback rather then just attach arbitrary values everything that's broken in the game. I've been a Blizzard fan since Orcs & Humans and I've never been more dissatisfied and disappointed with them since this game came out. Props to the people that trudge on but I'm done for a long time.Comment

Re: Diablo 3
So, I downloaded the patch earlier and fired the game up. I'm on Act 2 Nightmare with my wizard. I was doing pretty well before the patch. Tonight, within the 45 minutes I played, I died atleast 10 times. Did they completely nerf the wizard? I haven't read through the patch notes, but my character just can't cause nearly the damage he was before. On top of that, i'm dying MUCH faster now.Comment

Re: Diablo 3
Repairs make build experimentation so expensive it's going to funnel people into just the popular ones. As I collect gold I note just about every time I see a large amount that I just paid for future death or two.
Had such a fail group for a Butcher run last night... 2 WD and a Wizard, I was one of the WD. The Wizard never had a cooldown/answer for the pull you in ability and apparently didn't know how to dodge it. His gear had a total of maybe 200 vitality and 3% life... died every time.
Only consolation is he was rezzed so frequently, I bet he spent 100k on repairs by the time we quit the wipefest 1 attempt after our 5 stack of valor wore off.Comment

-50% nerf to attack speed
-lowered elite group damage to the player
-buffed repair costs. not sure of the percentage but it's a significant amount
I find that some elite mobs are much tougher now even though they were supposed to be easier with this patch. As a monk the nerf to attack speed hurts a lot. I am going to try to stack life on hit now to compensate.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Diablo 3
I finally caved and picked this up... R.I.P. My free time.
Took me forever to pick a class, but I decided to roll a demon hunter. Loving it through level 12. Impale seems to be more useful so far, but mowing folks down with rapid fire is an absolute blast. Now Playing

Re: Diablo 3
ugh...fighting the elites in hell mode sucks...you die so quickly that it's no fun since the repair cost is just way too much! I would buy better armor but what's the point since repairing my new expensive armor will probably be the same price when I bought the damn thing....
I'm going to jump to torchlight 2 when it comes out...Comment
