$90 for GTA 4?! $120 for Halo 3?! LMAO these special editons are getting ridiculous. I'll take my overpriced $60 regular edition thank you.

ditto. wtf is wrong with us. i mean as gamers we are letting these ppl charge us these prices cause people but the crap out of it. I wouldnt but gta or halo for 80 dollars even if i was a millionaire. I would feel better buying 2 copies of GTA 4 for 120$ and have one sitting there taking up space than to spend 90 and have 1 games and some other garbage taking up space

it's not like they are doing this with every franchise. I think Halo and GTA have shown why they can ask those prices for special collector editions. They sell insane amounts of games, so they are just trying to get a few more dollars out of people who are willing to pay this. Of course many will think the prices are insane, otherwise they'd make these the standard price.

Hopefully the bag will at least be man size, unlike the spartan helmet in the legendary edition of Halo 3. This would also almost certainly be a must buy, if only for the profit you'd make selling it on ebay once their newest controversy takes place.

lol.....i am still getting the legendary edition of Halo 3....got $44 on it so far still need $76 to put on it...if anyone is willing to donate to me....lol...

Grand Theft Auto IV First Look
We sneak a look at the next much-anticipated entry in Rockstar's GTA series.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more anticipated, or scrutinized title than Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV. The release of the game's trailer in March saw the fifty odd seconds of teaser footage scrutinized like evidence in a CSI episode with fans (ourselves included) rabidly dissecting it frame by frame. To further stoke the fires of anticipation, Rockstar Games recently hit town and did the previously unthinkable: they gave us a look at a work in progress version of the Xbox 360 game. Whereas years past have seen us getting access to GTA games when they were much farther along in development, Rockstar, confident in how development is going, actually raised the kilt and let us get a look at GTA IV months before it hits. Our guided demo of the title showed off a tiny bit of the city and gave us a taste of what Rockstar is cooking up for what is arguably the most anticipated game of 2007.

The property element of the game is being downplayed. It's been culled quite a lot because we don't really think it fits where we've gone with the game. Niko is an Eastern European who's come to Liberty City with only a suitcase to his name so it wouldn't be realistic if he ended up as a huge property baron. Also we don't know how much fun asset management is and if, in the context of the game, Niko has properties worth $10 billion then why would he want to do a mission for 150 dollars? So that aspect of the game has been trimmed down.

yeah I was like a billionaire in san andreas. Really made the rest of the game pointless. Even the gang wars were pointless once you had essentially infinite funds to get guns and armor.

But it's arguably the sound in GTA IV that impresses the most. We go outside for a stroll in the local part of Broker we're in, and the atmospheric sounds of traffic, trains, pedestrians gossiping and arguing, and muffled music coming from different vehicles and buildings, is really something else in this game. Car horns and traffic noise doesn't just sound like it's coming from the right direction and distance, but also seems to echo through the street as it should and is convincingly varied. Simply put, it doesn't sound like a game, it sounds like an actual, real city. It sounds incredible, it's kind of spookily real. A proper, real-time sound engine that is fitting for GTA's next-gen debut and, basically, the most stunning sound engine we've heard in a game to date. Just two weeks ago I was praising Halo 3's sound but in GTA IV, the audio effect really blew me away on a new level. Forget photo-realism and incrementally better graphics - what's so refreshing to experience here is kickass sound-realism. Cars driving past really sound - and feel - like they're going past you, as the engine rumbles and the car's blearing music fades in and out. If a car suddenly brakes nearby, you don't need to see it to know it happened. Varying volume and intensity of car horns and the constant hum of traffic noise is transfixing to listen to, and the frequent deafening rattle of trains hurtling through the subway honestly make this city sound as real as the ones we live and breathe in - it's something we don't think has been emphasised enough in any previous coverage of this new title. Evangelists of game audio, and its importance in games, are going to be heard on an entirely new level when they bounce around the streets in this game. Even the surfaces you walk on - regular sidewalk or a pebbly area - sound different and real.

I remember reading that GTA IV on the PS3 would have it's unique DLC. Maybe it was just an oversight, let's hope.

Those little hiccups Rockstar is having with the 360 though might make me get the PS3 version instead. Faster load times (why are they still so prevalent! ) might be the deal breaker.

Unless the DLC is "da bomb"! Though it's unlikely they'll announce crap on the DLC until AFTER the game is released!

Episodic Content has still only been officially announced for the 360. The GameInformer article mentioned the content as only coming to 360 too. In another Take Two financial report last year, they mentioned receiving 30 million dollars from Microsoft, but didn't disclose what for. I believe it was for GTA IV Episodic Content and BioShock, but I also believe both will only be timed exclusives. I don't think it was an oversight that Take Two listed the Episodic Content for the 360 only in this report.

I read that MS gave Take Two a $50 million dollar advance on what Take Two would make by selling the exclusive content on XBL. They'll probably make millions off interest, but it's not like MS just gave Take Two 50 million dollars to keep stuff off the ps3.

This still means that they'll be like 15-20 dollar DLC's though...

I thought PS3's had terrible load times.

Oh well, doesn't really matter in the end to me. Exclusive extra content for GTA is very cool. I just started playing San Andreas again and it's taken me about 4 days to get through 80% of the missions.

Adding even more content is just icing.
