re: Grand Theft Auto IV
Okay, time to rant. So I'm playing the very last mission...
SpoilerAnd I got to the part where I jumped onto Dmitri's helicopter. He shook me off, and when I landed in the water I died! I thought... oh, maybe that wasn't really a cut scene, maybe I was supposed to strafe or knock him off or something. Well, so it happens the next time and I didn't die, so I realized I was supposed to fall off and go onto the boat. Okay, all is nice and good, except when Little Jacob brings the helicopter, he ****ing flies away before I have a chance to get under him!
This mission ****ing blows, man! It's not that it's hard, it's that the programmers are screwing with me on this one!Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Well, I beat it the next time despite being low on health (I didn't want to do the first part of it again, as it sort of had a check point thankfully). Time to play TLAD and BoGT next.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Honestly, I tried that thing at least 20 times before setting the game down for a few months, and what do you know I get it on one of my first tries when I come back to the game. My problem was always getting the helicopter blown up before getting to liberty island.Comment

SpoilerI figured that the helicopter part, like most missions, was automatic in the sense that my input and my shooting would not affect the outcome of Dmitri's helicopter. I shot anyway though, so I guess I did well.
So what happens if you get to Liberty Island and you hadn't shot it down yet?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
- You get extended radio station audio added to GTA IV, not just for the expansion packs.
- You must have the GTA IV disc since it's actually an "Add-On" and not a downloadable game, but then you don't have to switch the disc out. Just create a new game from the pause menu and load it from there as well.
- The two games total out to $39.98 as you buy them separately at $19.99 apiece. If you buy the two-pack in store, it would be $39.99 plus tax.
Works for me.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I was fine on the third try (after those first two mishaps).

So what happens if you get to Liberty Island and you hadn't shot it down yet?SpoilerLike you said, I'm almost positive it will blow up or catch fire(can't remember exactly which happens) even if you don't shoot at it. When I finally beat it, I don't even think I ever shot at the boat(I could be wrong though), I just tried my best to avoid the missles until you get hit by the scripted missle.Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
That last mission was frustrating to me. I could never jump onto that heli no matter what it seemed. Ugh.

Yeah, I just bought it from the PlayStation Store. I don't know how the discs works, but here are the benefits for me at least:
- You get extended radio station audio added to GTA IV, not just for the expansion packs.
- You must have the GTA IV disc since it's actually an "Add-On" and not a downloadable game, but then you don't have to switch the disc out. Just create a new game from the pause menu and load it from there as well.

Works for me.Comment

I've been playing TBOGT, but I haven't even started The Lost and the Damned yet. This game is so awesome.
Do you guys use cheats any or no ? I don't care about the trophies too much, and It's just not GTA to me without cheats.. lol.Comment
