I won't go wait at midnight even if I could tonight, it's supposed to snow here and be in the 30's. LOL

not going either. will pick it up tomorrow. no sense in going tonite and only getting to play for an hour or so before going to bed since work is in a few hours.

Finally decided to get the PS3 version.

I read somewhere earlier in this thread that the PS3 version doesnt support 1080i resolution, if anyone can locate that info or has the game and can look on the back and confirm it that would be appreciated. My TV is 1080i only so Im guessing Im going to get the fantastic resolution of 480 when I play this game. If I had one complaint about the PS3, its the lack of the internal scaler, the 360 has it, Sony talked about fixing it through firmwire and then amazingly enough they never said another word about it and acted like the problem doesnt exist. Thanks in advance.

Pimping, I just saw the back of the Box for the PS3 and it supports 720p/1080i/1080p/

I have the same problem with my HDTV and this was a huge concern, but did the research and saw it with my own eyes....

Although, I think I heard that we (Chicago) may have similar weather....EEEeek !!! I can't pick up my copy until 10 AM Tuesday anyways so no biggie!!

Yep supposed to be nasty tonight. I sure hope the cancel my softball game. I think I'm gonna pass on the midnight release. I was up all night last night cuz my son is sick and he got up ever half hour.

I am thinking about taking a half day on Tuesday however and picking this up at lunch time and playing hooky the rest of the day. But I think when it's all said and done I'm just gonna wait til after work Tuesday and play it that night.

What is the last game you've seen sold out, especially a big game?

I agree. I have never pre-ordered a video game ever and don't plan to. I've never had a problem finding a game I wanted...ever.

Think I'll make this a sticky. And I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag...I've had the game since Friday afternoon.

I finally jumped online last night after waiting in out for fear of getting caught by the "Early Release Police". While finding a game on PS3 online was sort of a hassle, it was worth it once I finally got into a game. No lag what so ever (though that could change once the entire world gets their hands on the game). Everything was as smooth online as offline.

With that said...I think my online experience last night is going to force me to go 360 with it and return my PS3 copy sometime tomorrow. Kotaku.com says there isn't much of a difference at all between the two versions.

If there was no difference between offline and online and no lag, why would you switch to 360? Just seeing what the difference is (i have both systems)

Most likely because LIVE makes it easier to get into a game online.

Exactly...you PS3 guys will see what I mean. I just don't see an easy way to find a game with your friends online with the PS3. Plus, my brother has a 360, and two of my close friends here in Winston have a 360 and they both plan on getting it. I just have more people I know with a 360...and finding online games with the 360 is going to be SO much easier...that's the deciding factor for me.
