TJ, ya gotta fill everyone in on the room situation with the PS3 version.

Can you create your own rooms? Set a password? Are there specific servers you connect to?

A lot of us would like to know... oh, and voice chat?

Do you not like the PS3 online because you couldn't find a way to invite friends?

For this game, as weird as it sounds, I think playing with randoms would be fine on the PS3, and annoying as hell on the 360. That was another factor for me, the increasing annoyances with playing randoms on 360.

Now, I know you say I can just play with OS'ers, but after they move on to the next flavor of the month in a week on XBL, what then? (And I don't care how big or excited everyone is for GTA 4, the XBL OS'ers will be done with it by the end of May, book it). Happened with COD 4, Vegas 2, GRAW, etc and so on. Every big online game had a huge start and then fizzled out.

And yes, I'm trying to make myself feel better about going PS3 for this, but I just feel I'll play 90% of the game offline.

That's where I'm at EG. GTA is going to be a blast online... but a good % of the game, for me, will always be offline.

I just want to know ahead of time how difficult it will be for us to set something up. It obviously won't be as easy as "Send Invite" and "Accept Invite" but I'm willing to go that route for some sense of my sanity and the system's reliability.... for me.

Ha... no way. My damn system died a little after NCAA last year and too close for comfort to NBA 2k8.

I'll be in a straight jacket if I see 3 red lights from the 360 shortly after GTA4 drops... it already hums loud as hell when I'm playing the games I have now...

Same here, offline single player sucks me, ill spend 90% of my time there. Never been on PSN to play games, but this will be the first, feel free to find me

Haha...yeah man. We'll tear some **** up together tomorrow!

I don't know...what do you want to know? Control wise, it's the same old GTA for the most part. The new body part specific targeting system is pretty cool...a lot like Crackdown if you played that. You can now specify where you want to aim when shooting at people.

The city itself is MASSIVE!! EG linked me to a video stream yesterday of a guy playing the 360 version and he was in a part of the city I still hadn't seen yet.

I went out drinking with some friends in-game and laughed my *** off when I realized you could get Niko drunk. If he's drunk, the screen sways and moves making it REALLY difficult to drive.

I dunno...anything else?

are you going online a lot because it's a new feature? Do you feel that playing online in anyway ruins wanting to play single?

In a nutshell, would you rather be playing single or multi at this point, and do you think that would change any?

I said awhile back in the thread that the comment from the IGN editor on that podcast saying he thought the 360 looked sharper in resolution was interesting, and it turns out that there is a difference in resolution. Quaz51 on B3D has been confirming the native resolution of games this generation for awhile now, and Eurogamer has mentioned him in their multiplatform face-offs a number of times.

360 - 720P (1280 x 720) AAx2
PS3 - 630P (1120 x 630)

This certainly explains the softer look of the PS3 version.
