My biggest dissapointment has to be the PES series...

complete and utter downfall from the stelar games we saw on ps2 and then on xbox.

My biggest dissapointment so far has been Metal Gear Solid 4.

I LOVED Metal gear solid 1 and 3. I couldnt stomach 2 after i realized i had to play as fagboy raiden most of the game.

I went out and bought a PS3 for this game. Bad idea for me. I want to actually PLAY the freakin game, not sit there and watch hours after hours of flippin cutscenes. I bet i actually PLAYED 3 hours of the game, and sat through 9 hours of cutscenes(exaggerated some, but thats what it felt like). None of the boss fights felt EPIC like previous ones(the sniper level in metal gear 3, or psychomantis in mg1). They had fairly easy patterns to figure out, and the only one that was confusing or took thought was the vampire guy.

I was just pissed how Snake went out. I was pissed that he was old and used the young face camo as much as i could. The best part of that game for me was going back to shadow moses. It brought back alot of memorys of me younger and playing that game non-stop.

Just ranting on and on, but damn, Snake deserved a better finale than that. IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO

RE5 was good but still a pretty big let down.

All of the NBA games have been huge disapointments for me too.

And GTA4 was the biggest let down. Low res, lowish frame rate and bland colours all hurt because it didn't jump out as looking like a nextgen GTA but the boring and lacking polish type gameplay was the killer.

Oh and Fallout 3 - I was one of the few who just didn't get it. Give me a new Elder Scrolls any day.

I just fired up Infamous for the first time tonight, and I gotta admit the Graphics were pretty weak. Maybe GTA has spoiled me but color me unimpressed.

A Few other Disappointments:

The Ghostbusters Story: The Story itself felt like they were trying to Make Ghostbusters 1.5, I would rather have seen a story completely different from anything we have seen thus far. Also, The ending felt a bit rushed, were was the cut scene of the ghostbusters riding through NY Victorious with the Full Ghostbusters theme song. It is a corny touch but that is why I fell in love with the Ghostbusters.The Opening Cinematic was awesome, just wish the ending one was half as good.

For me, one that hasnt been mentioned yet, is Damnation. Worst 60 bucks that I have ever spent.

One game that I forgot to mention that didn't live up to my expectations, Fear. Couldn't get into it and just didn't bring the name home for me.

I echo jjdog's sentiments on MGS4 verbatim (I made almost the exact same post in the game thread.

It has been easily the most disappointing game I've ever watched.

It's not even in the GTA4 category of "expected the best, but only got a great game"; MGS4 is a legitimate mediocre to bad game/moviefilm.

I absolutely loved Fight Night Round 2 and 3 but to me, Round 4 was pitiful.

I would have to say Saints Row 2. Thought it was pretty bad.

I loved SR2 and preferred it to the GTA style. It was a nice improvement over SR1 (especially with the ability to actually buy ammo, I never understood that). I've probably played it as much as any other game on the 360.

I would've said the Madden series before Aug 14, but the latest version has me hooked! Another one, like others have said, is the console failures. For the money we're paying for these things they shouldn't need repair within the first 2 years!

The Wii.

Been a big fan of Nintendo, but this time around i just haven't gotten the enjoyment i thought i was going to originally get with it. I am now a huge opponent of this whole motion fad, especially for games that do not implement well or shoehorn it in. Sick of waggling just because someone decided that a gamer needs to shake a controller to 'jump' or 'stab' or any other nonsense.

There are definite gems on the system, but i felt that is should have done more.

Not looking forward to Natal or the ps3 motion stuff either...
