I've spent a few hours with this game and it is not too bad, but I am not going ga ga over it like many others are. Graphically the game is artistically great and atmospheric. I am finding the lack of direction in this game kinda of blah. I will play though this and finish it, hoping it gets much better.

Much like Assassin's Creed, you gotta give it a good 2-3 hours before it really gets great. Much of what you are doing in the beginning is basically tutorial stuff. Just wait until you get to your first dungeon, that's when things get awesomeI've spent a few hours with this game and it is not too bad, but I am not going ga ga over it like many others are. Jason, I'm at the Broken Stairs level right now trying to fight that creature that throws cars at you. I am still feeling iffy about this game.Comment

Lol, ya, that part pissed me off. It was at that point where I was still like, "Eh, this game is pretty cool". Once your past that though, it turns into Zelda on steroids as the story really kicks off. Push through it man, I swear it will be worth it. The dungeon exploration is crazy fun, and the combat is great once you start getting your upgrades.
C'mon, have I ever steered you wrong before George

LOL! I'm trying to give it a bit of time here. What gets me the most aggravated is that at times you get lost because there is no clear cut directions on where to go. The worst thing is that the check points are limited, so when you die its all the way back to the beginning. ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! It doesn't help that I have only played about 40 minutes at a time either.Lol, ya, that part pissed me off. It was at that point where I was still like, "Eh, this game is pretty cool". Ya, you really just gotta keep exploring around, and using the map to see where you've been. If an area is grey, you haven't been there yet, if it's white, you have. Green doors can be opened, red doors can't. Just stuff like that. I've noticed though, they basically give you an objective and leave it up to you to figure it out. If you just take a deep breath and start exploring, you always end up where you should.LOL! I'm trying to give it a bit of time here. I know it can get aggravating but for me games that spoon feed me and make the experience way to easy are ones that irritate me.
I may just pick this one up now.Joshua:

^ You should Sky! Let us know what you think. Hell if you're a fan of past Zelda games than this is definitely a no brainer.Comment

Re: Darksiders
I will hang tight longer to get to my first dungeon. I love the Zelda games so if this opens up soon like Zelda, then that will be great. I don't mind the exploration at the beginning of the game........but at times it leaves you wondering as you can't find where to go. The backtracking I do not find it to be like Zelda to a degree, unless later on things change.Ya, you really just gotta keep exploring around, and using the map to see where you've been. Re: Darksiders
The more I play this game, it reminds me more and more of this title than any of the God of War comparisons:
