    Re: Rock Band 2

So, I know there's a TON of DLC (I have a big list of songs I want written down in my RB2 gamecase), but there's still some bands I would love to see in the future:

    The Black Keys
    ELVIS
    My Morning Jacket
    Violent Femmes
    The Band
    Bruce Springsteen
    Stevie Wonder
    Sly & the Family Stone
    Funkadelic/Parliament
    Uncle Tupelo
    Flaming Lips

I meant the live AC/DC stuff. The on disc song is Bon Scott. Brian Johnson is singing the live stuff, including what were songs Bon Scott sang.

What would you guys recommend in terms of DLC songs? Im not a huge fan of rock music so I don't know a lot bands and the amount of songs available to download is just ridiculous. I feel so lost and most of the songs I have never heard of so any help here.

Some bands I do like off the top of my head are Iron Maiden, SOAD, Disturbed, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Anything that similar to them would be fine but I'll take any recommendations though. All the songs I that I have on the game are from RB1, RB2, and the free downloadable tracks that came with RB2.

I really have no preference in terms of the style of music except I hate songs where all the lead singer does is scream though. For example Desperate Times, Desperate Measures is one I hate.

Also my last thing is I like playing drums and bass though I do play reg guitar from time to time. And on song difficulty I'll take just about anything for drums. As long as its not overly difficult like Panic Attack or Painkiller. On guitar/bass anything that can fit in challenging or lower I'll take.

Well Jano, stay away from EMO bands. Talking heads pack is good. Also, The Police songs are great.

I would say make a list of songs that interest you and either listen to the samples in the RB music store or check them out on youtube. Some that I would personally recommend...

Queens of the Stone Age - hard/heavy rock
Dead Weather (fun on the drums)
Gorillaz - fun to sing/rap along with if you're a fan.
              Steve Miller Band
Any Who, Rush, Grateful Dead songs you're familiar with.
              Funk pack is pretty fun
Tenacious D - Tribute (a must have IMO)
              Alice in Chains

Wasted Years is the only Maiden song even anything close to easy. Based on the ratings anyway.

SOAD...well their songs are also difficult but the solo/side projects might be good for you Bethoven's C*** by Serj and They Say by Scars on Broadway (easiest song in the game).

Disturbed, varies in difficulty but there's no devil head difficulty songs on anything. Stricken is my fav but Stupify is easier.

I skipped the Metallica pack so no comments there but it appears to be on the difficult side.

RHCP,skip Snow but anything else should be good. I only have Under the Bridge and Snow so I'm not 100% sure on that but Snow is ridiculous on guitar and quite the challenge on bass.

You might like the Black Sabbath pack. They're covers but there'd probably be no Iron Maiden or Metallica if it wasn't for them.

Maybe More Human than Human by White Zombie, the only thing that's difficult on is drums,it's 5 dots so I'm guessing that's ok,I don't really play drums so don't know how hard it really is.

I Stand Alone by Godsmack and Bring Me to Life by Evanescence are in the same catagorey with Disturbed and SOAD so you might like those.

Probably at least one of the Alice Cooper songs,I only have Poison.

Jane's Addiction maybe, they're the only ones I can think of that would be like RHCP. Jane Says is pretty catchy.

Thanks guys I actually downloaded snow but I never play it on guitar though that songs just ridiculous. On bass and drums its cool though and by the way I'm playing on hard on every difficult if that's worth anything.

Had no idea Stupify was on hear so I'll definitely be downloading that one.

Since you're playing on hard I think it's safe to get B.Y.O.B,Toxicity and more than 1 Iron Maiden song. At least from a guitar/bass standpoint.

The entire Blood Sugar Sex Magik album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is awesome and has a lot of funk and groove to go along with the rock 'n roll sound. Check out the song Funky Monks and if you dig that then I bet you'll love the whole album, as all of those songs are fun to play. Totally worth the purchase.

I actually just started listening to that album dislimb and its a good one. I already downloaded Funky Monks and that one was pretty fun on Bass gonna try it out on drums soon.

I think I'm just going to blow rest of my points on that album because I love playing Give It Away and as I said Funky Monks was fun to play. Then I'm just going to take a break from downloading b/c I already downloaded about 5 songs today. I know that if I keep downloading songs I'm not going to be able to stop Lol.

I'm going to keep in mind the other stuff yall mentioned next time I get that itch for more tracks.
