Yeah, I've never driven one. My first car was a Jeep Wrangler when I turned 16 and it happened to be an automatic. Never had the desire to learn. I like only needing one foot to drive.

Just go to options and turn up the speed....It's what I do on hard level. I alway felt there needed to be a level between hard and expert and the option to turn up the speed creates that for me...Oh yeah it's called breakneck speed..just remembered.

EG, I would say hang on (at least) to the DLC. I've gone through moods where I want to play anything but music games and then I'll get right back into them again.

So I wonder what ever happened to the "star tracking" patch for the PS3? I seems like Harmonix really does like to ignore PS3ers sometimes.

I usually just play now when I'm in the mood for a few songs, or if I have a party but that's not that often. Nice to have around but not a game I play often solo.
I think that has happened to a lot of people here on OS. The guitar/band game discussions have some what died down.

If you're burned out try the other instruments. Sounds like it's just a guitar thing. Try vox and drums.

Yeah I was wondering about that too. It's not a huge deal but would be nice to have.

                  Re: Rock Band 2

For all you guys attempting to make that move up to hard I would say breakneck speed is the way to go. For me at least it made reading the charts a lot easier especially for those tougher songs that throw a lot of notes at you. Not only that but my fingers were moving a lot faster then the actual track so breakneck helped remedy that.

Lastly playing on bass for a while will make the transition a bit easier b/c of the lack of chords. Those things will just frustrate you to no end especially when there's a shift from red/blue to orange/yellow.

If you have the time/patience I say give it a try and keeping practicing b/c it will make the game so much more fun once you get comfortable with it. It feels really good to nail solos on hard and expert. And the satisfaction you get from nailing songs like Painkiller on hard/expert guitar is just amazing Lol.

                    Hey gang,

Here's the DLC coming your way next week. There's another 5 tracks coming from modern punk luminaries AFI and quite possibly the greatest pop song ever written about Egyptians. Check it out!

                    -HMXhenry

Available on Xbox 360 and Wii (Nov. 17) and PlayStation 3 system (Nov. 19):

                    AFI - Beautiful Thieves
                    AFI - End Transmission
                    AFI - Love Like Winter
                    AFI - Medicate
AFI - The Leaving Song, Pt II
The Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian+

(All tracks are original master recordings)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “AFI Pack 01” as well as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks on Wii. Tracks marked with a “+” are also available in the family-friendly LEGO Rock Band Music Store.

                      Wow great discussion here.

Moving from medium to hard on guitar is the biggest jump there is in any of the music games. It's really just a matter of practice. You need to play for at least 30 minutes on most days (every day might be too much, but you need to play more than once a week) and you have to be willing to go into practice mode to get the hang of it at slower speeds. I did this all the time back when I got GHIII.

Now I can gold star anything that is relatively difficult (even got GG&HT gold!) and 4 star basically anything (Snow, most of the Megadeth pack).

It really is more fun to play on the harder difficulties, but even now I'm finally starting to get a little burned out on the music genre. I've put off picking up MW2, but I don't know how much longer I can hold out.

There's another song too. That vultures band with Dave Grohl people were expecting. The single off that. Soon RB will be made up of 90% Dave Grohl.

New tracks for next week, from RockBand.com forums:

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “A Thing About You (live)” +
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “American Girl (live)”
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “Even the Losers (live)”
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “Here Comes My Girl (live)” +
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “Mary Jane’s Last Dance (live)”
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – “Refugee (live)” +
Kelly Clarkson – “Miss Independent” +
                              P!nk – “Who Knew” +
The Go-Go’s – “Our Lips Are Sealed” +

Anything with a + next to it works in Lego Rock Band.

I would get the Kelly Clarkson song if it was "Since U Been Gone". However, it's not, so I can save myself that embarrassment for the moment. I'll explore the other songs; they're all sorta 'eh' to me.
