Wow, what a totally out of the blue album to put out there.

I don't know much MC but I'd definitely check out the songs and probably get something.

I'm more excited for all the other guys that love this band. I think there's a few (Jistic, EG, etc) if I'm not mistaken.

I couldn't think of a worse pick to be honest with you. I'd way rather have Too Fast for Love or Shout at the Devil. Dr. Feelgood is from their bubblegum days.

There are 5 tracks that I would immediately get off of Dr Feelgood. Maybe more after I watch the vids. I'm excited about it.

I hope they announce the Foo Fighters album for next week's DLC.

There's a post on the Rockband.com forums saying that the Dr. Feelgood album by Motley Crue is coming to Rockband, possibly on October 14th.

If this is true, they've REALLY brought the big guns for GHWT's debut. The AC/DC announcement, and now the possibility of this? Wow, wow, wow.

Damn, this one is an instant purchase.

I'll get some of the songs, but totally agree with you. Wasn't a fan of that album compared to prior work.

Dr. Feelgood for the intro alone is worth it though.

For real, I'm wondering why he even got the game to just complain every week about what songs are going to be available for DLC, you know coming into this game the type of music that will be available for it.

Hey guys,

My wife has recently gotten into Guitar Hero 3 and is now interested in Rock Band 2. All I have is the GH3 wireless guitar. We want to start out with baby steps before we go all out buying the drums and stuff.

Can we play Rockband 2 with the GH3 wireless guitar or do we need the Rockband 2 one? And if the GH3 guitar works with it, are we going to be at any sort of disadvantage using that guitar as opposed to the one made for that game?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

The only thing you'll be missing by using the GH guitar is the solo buttons on the RB guitar. They are small buttons down near the high note part of the fret board that you can use optionally (so you look cool playing solos). They do have the added advantage that you don't have to strum the strummer when using solo buttons. I use a third party guitar (because until recently you couldn't use the GH guitar on the PS3 version of RB) and I don't really miss the solo buttons at all. They definitely aren't worth buying another guitar for. I do think cosmetically the RB guitars are better, and from what I've read the crappy (IMO) strummer from the first RB guitar is better in the RB2 mode.

But yeah, the GH3 guitar will work just fine, so there isn't any real need to buy a RB guitar.

Yup, the Les Paul wireless is compatible with Rock Band. It's one of two GH guitars I use on Rock Band (other is the Xplorer).

And nope, no disadvantage. The only difference would be lack of solo buttons so you can't just tap through Big Rock Endings. You'd actually have to strum and tap, which isn't a big deal.

I think for someone who is new to playing, the clicking sound of the strum is very nice because it helps many people keep the beat. Without a click, I just don't feel right.

Have you shown her the downloadable songs list yet? So many great songs on there too and it just keeps getting better.
