It won't take you long to want to get the drums and the microphone. I would get the new microphone that has the controller buttons built-in. Makes things a lot less confusing when you have a bunch of people playing.

Re: Rock Band 2
I will say that I do think the RB DLC is missing a couple key genres of rock, that being the hair bands and the grunge bands. So if that is all someone listens too (which isn't bad because that's cool stuff) then I could see where the RB DLC is sparse for them.

Re: Rock Band 2
I think the problem I have is that people are ruling out bands/songs without even giving it a shot. Even if you may not like Crue, who knows...you may find a song you actually enjoy.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Rock Band 2
dk seems to be more of a screamo and hardcore guy. And only those genres. But for those genres there really isn't anything.I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Rock Band 2
Or $1.99 is a lot for a song, and I'd much prefer songs that I know I will play over and over again that I love. Fortunately, there are a good fifteen or so songs that I love on the DLC list, but that's about it. Others are tolerable, but not worth $1.99 IMO.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
Cosign. Hair bands would be stupid, but fun, and I guess everyone forgets how popular the grunge bands were back in the 90's. There's a decent representation from the biggies (PJ, AIC, Soundgarden, Nirvana), but they could use a full album or two from them. I'd love "Dirt", "Ten", or "Superunknown". And what happened to "Nevermind" which was supposed to be one of the first album DLCs?Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
Personally I'd love to see more Southern rock DLC (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, ZZ Top) and some alt country (Cross Canadian Ragweed, Steve Earle, Uncle Tupelo). There are even some mainstream country acts like Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and Montgomery Gentry who have some kick *** songs that would be a lot of fun to play. And both Keith Urban and Brad Paisley are damn good guitarists. I think this is an untapped market for Rock Band.Last edited by Seahawk76; 10-03-2008, 10:33 AM.Comment
