Well I said less popular,Mountian Song is nowhere near as popular as Been Caught Stealin'. I don't think Drain You is popular at all.

I don't even see how something like Let there be Rock is even good for the game. There's guitar and vocals missing for half the song wich means there's 2 people doing a lot of nothing. It made for a good TV ad at least but so would For Those About to Rock.

I would imagine more people blow it off,Devo's not doing so good without Whip It. PatD and Dream Theater fans didn't seem too happy either but I don't listen to either of them so have no idea. Weezer is a good example Buddy Holly outsold the 3 new Weezer songs combined (sure it's been around longer but still everyone that would've bought that could've bought the new ones too),possibly all 4 others combined but there's no way to know that.

Speaking of Mountian Song have they said what they're going to do about 4 of those albums with songs in RB 2? There's going to be people with only RB that won't have those songs so will there 2 versions of the album?

I suspect that if they were DLC they wouldn't sell very well.

As opposed to any of the 20-30 songs for Metallica,AC/DC and GnR people that even don't listen to them normally know and often like anyway. (Unforgiven,Shook Me All Night Long ,Paradise City)
10-20 for Dylan and Nirvana. (Like A Rolling Stone,Come as You Are)
5-10 for Rush,Pumpkins and RATM. (Spirit of Radio,Bullet with Butterfly Wings,Guerilla Radio)
Been Caught Stealin' for Jane's Addiction.
Impression that I get for MMBT,one hit wonder without the hit?

The Joker or Take the Money and Run or Fly Like an Eagle for Miller.

All of wich would probably sell a lot more than the on disc songs if they were DLC with MAYBE the exception of RATM and Pumpkins wich might sell about the same.

Let there be Rock probably sells 35,000-60,000 at DLC just cause it's AC/DC,Shook Me All Night Long sells 100k+ easy,stick the likely lower seller on the disc and get more money from the famous song for DLC but still being able to promote that you've got the band??

Ya know like,Whiplash,Seek & Destroy,the entire Black album,Master of Puppets,Sanitarium,For Whom the Bell Tolls and so on.

I guess there'll be Miley Cyrus DLC now. Her Hannah Montanna theme song,whatever her newest/next single is and a special exclusive just for Rock Band cover of Achy Breaky Heart.

For every Metallica fan I know, Battery is one of their favorite songs. Personally, I like it better than all of the songs you listed besides Master of Puppets. However, I'd rather have Battery in the game, because Master has the repetitive power chord riff during the verse part, and it repeats that same long section before the break into the clean guitar and melodic solo.

MoP is a sick song, don't get me wrong, but Battery isn't a trash track that should spark talk of conspiracy.

I'm not talking about Metallica fans. I'm talking about the songs even the NON Metallica fans know. It's marketed as a party game so the songs even the non fans know should be the ones on the disc. However by putting the song for the fans on the disc and the more famous ones as DLC not only do the fans download it many non fans would too. Pull 10 random people off the street and ask them to name a Metallica song other than Enter Sandman and I don't think Battery would be coming up much.

GH got Tool. I'm hoping Harmonix is able to get them, too. They're not one of my favorite bands, but I think they'd be great for RB.

But the DLC for Metallica was And Justice for All, Ride the Lightning and Blackened. Great songs, but I'd hardly call them more popular than Battery.

I thought Ride the Lightning and And Justice for All were. Just toss it under the debatable section with Pumpkins and RATM.

Tool designed their own arena for GH so I doubt they'd give anything to RB. Kinda like The Who in that they're not offically exclusive but don't expect it.

Yes it's true. 360 - game only on September 14th. Bundle for all systems releases in October.

Okay, I think I can officially say I'm a DLC whore.

I really thought I would only get one song and I cracked and got all three.

I just started buying DLC like a month ago since I got XBL back up and I'm already up to 132 total songs. 58 on disc + 2 free DLC so I've bought 72 songs so far.

Yikes. Oh well, I'll be back shortly with All That Remains reviews.
