The Les Paul works on Rock Band as well.

And the Thunderstruck intro is similar in patter to TTFAF, but nowhere near as fast.

That's how I feel. It makes hammer-ons impossible and I play horrible when I use it. With Guitar Hero I can play 90% of Expert songs without problem, but with RB's guitar I fail most of them.

I just picked up the AC/DC Track pack tonight. Thinking of going to get some store credit on some unplayed games and going with another guitar. I really loved the GH 2 controller, but also am intrigued at the new RB 2 guitar.

The first one is what I have right now. It's not terrible, but it's not what I'm looking for. I think it's gotten better since I've broken it in.

Thanks for the review GenosisX, both you and EG have really gotten me intrigued about the guitar. Will def. be checking it out.

At least they put some effort into it and had new guitars, outfits, videos, arenas and all that and a decent ammount of songs. I think only Aerosmith would've got repetitive so was fine with other songs. Cat Scratch Fever was great.

Compared to 18 songs, using the RB 1 game and stripping everything out of it then charging $40 for it. I'd be shocked if any review site gave it more than a 4 if they were to review it as the stand alone it's being marketed as. I won't even buy it if I can't trade it in (if I can even find it) and I bought GH 80's.

Well I just got done with my first playthrough. Stuck the disc in and never looked back.

Just played through all 18 on medium. ( I never claimed to be good)

Will be working on the harder levels now, but needed something to do while Track Pack DLed to HD.

Going to Gamestop tomorrow to see if I can find a new guitar...

I have mine up for sale on ebay right now. I imported the songs in RB2 and pretty much did all the achievements that I want, so time to sell it off.

Rumor has it that with the Beatles game, they will be introducing....the keyboard.

It only makes sense with it being it's own game and why it's going to take til Christmas 2009 for it to be released.

And if this rumor is true, I'd imagine that's the next push for Rock Band 3, which will lead to some much more music. REO Speedwagon anyone?

My biggest question would not only be charting but where would it fit on the screen? My guess is that you couldn't play all 5 instruments at once but who knows.

I'm just really excited to see where this leads.

If they made charts skinnier, maybe 4 can fit going down. What if they made a digital LCD pad on the keyboard that displays the note chart on there? Just a thought.

If they did that, it would open the flood gates to 80's new wave music.

The chart displaying on the keyboard would be pretty wild.

My concern with the keyboard would be difficulty, if they tell you which keys to press and when, I don't see how it would be that hard for most songs.

It'd be the chord progression that would trip up a bunch of people (including myself). I'd imagine that it'd probably be charted with more than 5 buttons (more like 8) so that would make it difficult.

Can't say I'd be interested in that at all - but I will say that if there's any truth to that, then I would be extremely surprised. Harmonix has stated a dozen times that they have absolutely no plans on introducing another instrument, and that there's not even room on the screen to do any such thing.

Metallica used to say they'd never make a music video or shorten their songs.

                              for that one....

i think they need to add the sax.

I've always wanted to play Glenn Frey on Rock Band...

Finally get The Final Countdown. No room for more instruments personally so I'll skip on that anyway.

                                More on the Beatles:

Although we've known that the Beatles game would share headlines with MTV/Harmonix's successful music series, Reuters notes rather matter-of-factly that "none of the Fab Four's songs will be available for download on the existing Rock Band franchise."

So I guess it's like GH Aerosmith.
