    Re: Rock Band 2

I play it for PS3, but I checked in the game (covered in Christmas wrapping paper and two black garbage bags) at the airport and never received it on the carousel here in San Francisco. Three days since coming home, still no game. So I'm hoping that they'll compensate me for my loss.

Until then, I can't finish tour mode and get all of the songs. After that, I'll be able to get some online with you, RAZRr1275. I'm only good in expert guitar (which probably means I'm also good in expert bass as well), and I would love to learn the drums, only the drums I got had a blue pad that didn't register anything but slam hits, so I ordered a replacement. I have the replacement, but now I no longer have the not-working drum set to return back to EA because the airline either lost or stole my game.

That's okay... if they fully reimburse me, I still have the game, so now I can sell the new one on eBay for full price. And if someone stole it, they'll find to be very pissed that they only have a mic and guitar (technically they have a drum kit, but it doesn't work).

That sucks. I have to sharpen up on drums and guitar but I should be good for expert vocals. I haven't sang on RB for a while but I should be good. I really suck at guitar though. Kind of odd though because I'm not too bad at real guitar. I can probably do hard drums and if I practice expert.

Does anyone use the Drumshhh or Drum Silencer pads? If so, which of the 2 (if either) would you recommend?

I sure do. I love it! I'm going to rock out after the boys go to bed. I need to get down on the drums tonight. I just have an itch.

I know I'm late, but I don't follow Rock Band. I saw the stage kit at Best Buy the other day and died laughing. Lights and smoke? You're in your living room, what the hell kind of concert are you really putting on?

To you guys who know something about real drums (ie Fred) I picked up the cymbal 2 pack at best buy today. Obviously this leaves me short 1 (they didn't have the 3 pack), so what is the best option for the most realistic drumming experience? Hi hat and crash? Or should I go with hi hat and ride? I'm leaning towards hi hat and crash.

I'd go with hi-hat and crash. That blue pad makes a pretty good ride. Plus you use the hi-hat and the crash the most.

I hated those pads though, brought them right back. Let me know what you think of them.

I played with them for about an hour, and I'm kind of on the fence. First off, it's a huge adjustment playing with them if you're already used to not playing with them. So in other words, it might be easier to pick up if you had never played the drums without the cymbal add ons.

My biggest complaint is that it's kind of hard to figure out what should be a cymbal note and what should be a pad (on some songs) so I usually end up in limbo breaking my streak. I don't know. I guess I'll keep them, because I'm sure I can get used to them. I like having the crash cymbal to end my fill...definitely more fun than smacking the green pad.

As long as the song selection process of a blindfolded guy throwing a dart at a spinning wheel lands on Pretty Woman I'll be ok with it.

Hopefully the 6 minute live version.

I believe the promo on VH1 showed that Pretty Woman would be one of the songs.

I wish they would have put the cymbal notes in the same indicator as the hammer on/pull off notes for guitar, that would have been sweet for drums.

I'm wondering about this as well. Is this fine with the RB2 drums? Because I think most of these were designed for RB1. Not sure.
