Quite the range of scores.

Should be noted the Team Xbox review only covers the first 30 hours of gameplay.

In other words they stopped while the game was still holding your hand and linear.

It's still 30 hours of gameplay. The fact it takes that long before the game stops holding your hand isn't sitting well with some.

Actually, it seems the disc they were given to review it with stopped working, and so did the MS replacement disk they were sent. The editor's note says that when they are able to finish they'll ammend the review.

Well damn. How long is the game then? Regargless of scores, I will still be there at midnight. When it comes to RPGs, the two things I care the most about is story and battle system. Two things this game does well from what I have read.

As long as I can have fun with a game, I don't care how linear it is. I'm more of a player that cares about story and the battle system like you.

My friend was complaining that it's not JRPG enough. Lol, that's a first.

It's also disappointing seeing the differences between the consoles, but it's kinda expected.

The game is anywhere from 60-100 hours. It depends if you do all the sidequests later in game and how many weapons/accessories you level up.

Theres optional sidequests you can do about 35 hours into the game.

Quick question (for you or anyone that may know): Does FF13 use save-points, or did they adopt the 'save anytime/anywhere' philosophy?

If there are save-points, how frequently can they be found?

Save points, and I read in a review they are fairly frequent.
