Can anyone tell me if you can get flaming swords or ice swords, those sorts of weapons? Also, is this game anything at all Diablo-like?

      Yes, you can, ODogg.

My warrior has a lightning sword at the moment. You have to find a rune and then an enchanter to enchant it into a weapon with a slot (you'll see an empty box in the item's description). Once you do that, it will add elemental damage and have elemental effects.

I got this for PC, gonna play tonight. My rig isn't uber powerful, but it plays Empire Total War on a mix of medium/high settings. So I should be good for this right?

Thing is my wife wants the 360 version cuz she hates PC gaming. I've heard the 360 version is just too damned easy and you just hack hack hack and win. Is this true?

There are 4 settings for difficulty on 360. I'm sure you could make it as hard as you like.

What's a good difficulty for the 360 version? I am used to rpgs, so I want to make sure the game is a challenge but not frustrating.

Well having played both versions (me & ODogg had initially decided to get the 360 version first, then wait for the goty edition later. I changed my mind based on what Odogg said and that is, the game is good enough to go ahead and get the pc version now, plus they will have alot of dlc.) I feel that the 360 is a more kindler gentler version out of the box (on normal setting). The PC version is a damn good challenge on the normal setting, but even more so, the pc version is much more strategic based on the far view camera.

If you have a group of wolves attack you, in the pc game you pause the game, take the far away view, that way you can see every enemy and where the are positioned as opposed to where you are, then plot your attack more efficiently. Also, in the 360 version you constantly press the A button to attack, in the PC version you give the command and the battle plays out without you having to press anything (don't know if you can change this setting in the 360 version or not) right at the default settings.

So overall, the pc version adds a dimension that the console version does not, that is more thought out battle strategy.

I'm enjoying the 360 version...normal seemed fine for my first real battle action, but my next gameplay session will start to expand on that. So far it's kinda just a big rumble during fights, but there hasn't been much of an opportunity to plan anything.

That's correct this is a offline, single player only game. No offense to people who like playing multiplayer games, but thank goodness that Bioware focused 100% of their energy on making this a one-player masterpiece.

Its been a long time since I snuck in some game time before going to work in the morning. I saved right before what I know is the first real boss battle. I'm going to be thinking all day about how to what tactics I need to use to win this battle. LOL.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Same on 360, it's like Oblivion where you can create as many saves as you want.
