Honestly, when scanning the planets I never hold down the scan button. I just constantly tap the L trigger to move faster and once I have probes out it kind of helps me find the other pockets of minerals easier.

BTW, Sheppard is an Eco terrorist with all the strip mining he does.

I used that technique if there was no EEZO on the panet.

If there was EEZO found, then I would take the scanner all the way to the left of the planet and simultaneously press both sticks left, rotating the planet and the scanner in the same direction, and hold down the scan button. I plant the first probe and use that as the start mark. That way I can do a full rotation scan grid by grid. It rotates pretty fast.

That's why it took me 40+ hours to beat.

A Renegade male Shepard will be awesome though with this game.

Most of the choices I made early were what I would have done in the situation. It was hard to choose the nice approach when the answer was easily obtained the renegade way. I think after my eyes started glowing red (something I didn't care too much for), I just choose renegade options to go all the way.

I lost Legion and Zaeed and I had all of their loyalty. Must have been because I never took them on a mission. Legion got killed as the first tech specialist and Zaeed died being the leader at second stage.

So I hooked up with Jack before the Omega 4 relay and got the achievement. That was cool, but after the end game mission I went back to the her on the ship and she said the same line "I need to think." I figured she would be stuck on that line forever, so I dumped her and got with Miranda in the engine room. I had my cake and ate it too.

Yeah...My main playthrough I always try and "do the right thing"...it was tough though I agree. Sometimes it'd have been nice to put a bullet in someone's head, but I stuck with it.

Now I'll just be completely evil and it'll be fun.

Is the renegade experience any different between a male Shepard and a female Shepard? I went through ME1 and ME2 with a male Paragon, but am currently working on a female Renegade through ME1. Trying to determine whether it would be worth it to also do a male Renegade as well.

I pursued Jack throughout the game, and at the same time I was playing nice with Miranda. I got to the point with both of their conversations that Miranda was telling me that "She didn't want to share." and Jack was saying telling me to "give her time to think." I stopped talking to both of them while completing the game. Once I went through the Omega 4 relay, Jack came to see me in my room for the achievement.

After the main story was over and everyone was back in the ship to continue the game, I went to Jack and noticed that the conversation was at "Give me time to think." again. This time I ended it with her and told her there was someone else. I went straight to Miranda and it started all the romance. From the bed, to the elevator bump, to the engine room. Sexy time!

I had 4 people die after I beat the game! WTF! Everyone was loyal except for Miranda and Zaeed. I banged Jack, after I screwed it up with Miranda. I was paragon though so Im not sure how I pulled it off. Legion was killed after being my Tech. Jack was taken by a storm of bugs. Miranda was killed after we fell when we beat the final boss, and Zaeed died escorting. I wanted one of the girls to live! Gonna miss Jack she was great in battle. Has anyone had 4 people die?

Did you upgrade Jack's biotic power? If you didn't she's gonna die during the barrier part.

I used Jack and she did not die on me...weird. Maybe because I had all the biotic upgrades(minus her's)

What did you have to do to get that? I did everything possible besides just flying around every little planet looking for an anomaly. I never saw her upgrade in the prototype segment of research. She was already powerful as hell, would have been amazing with a special upgrade. fail. Damn!

After beating the game, I will have to say this is the BEST game I have ever played. Its weird how you actually feel kind of bad when people die in this game. Never had that when playing a video game before.

Mass Effect 3 cannot come soon enough. I dont even really remember waht I did in the first ME, but I can't wait to see how decision I have made in this one will affect ME3.

I think this whole series will go down as a "classic".
