Re: Mass Effect 2
I played the demo last night on ps3 for this and it seemed a little over whelming for me. I've never played any of the previous games, but read all the reviews and stuff so I somewhat knew what to expect. They tried explaning the story, but i felt lost with it. Also on the demo I keep on killing and killing the same people and didnt advance on the one part where they keep coming out of the door. I'm not giving up on the game just now have a few quetions
Would it be better to buy this game new or used? The new game comes with the comic book feature right?
Will the story and everything make more sesne if I start from the start of mass effect 2?
My friend was telling me about fallout 3 for ps3, are they kinda similar and style of play?Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Will the story and everything make more sesne if I start from the start of mass effect 2? I'm thinking no. I went through the DLC comic, and started from the beginning and I'm still kinda lost on the story.
My friend was telling me about fallout 3 for ps3, are they kinda similar and style of play? Yes and no, the one obvious is FO3 is in first person and ME2 is 3rd.
I liked fallout 3's style a little better. It was an open world but the game was much more straight forward and had better ambience.
ME2 so far has been a little overwhelming with all the different weapons/upgrades/teammates etc..
I liked how in FO3 they had ratings on weapons/armor. So you knew which were the most powerful. In ME2 it's like a guessing game. You get a new weapon but don't exactly know if it's better for a certain characture or not. The one thing the 2 have in common though are they are both considered Shooter RPG.s.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Project Overlord.SpoilerWow. No shortage of "ambience" during that mission. But make sure you have your surround sound on and cranked up.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Mass Effect 2
SpoilerHm. Did a Renegade run with a female Shepard. Fun. But even though I sold myself to it, I don't like giving TIM the Collector Base. But I don't know, I wonder if it'll ahve a positive or negative effect on the world. Gotta admit, Mass Effect is the first game I can't wait for a sequel solely for the story.
Also, anyone know how much time you get after the Collectors take your crew so you can make sure to save everyone? I wanna make a 3rd run and not lose anyone on the Suicide Mission. I know I need everyone to be Loyal and have to go ASAP. But I tried to position things so I could take care of everyone's Loyalty mission by getting the Reaper IFF just before I recruited Tali (I also kinda wanted to see how the quarians react to Legion). But I had Tali's Loyalty mission left before the Collectors came and took everyone.
I wasn't sure if I had the time, so I immediately went after the crew. Could I have done that Loyalty mission and still have time to save everyone?Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
SpoilerThe Reaper IFF is what triggers the countdown, do everyone's loyalty mission before you get it or the crew will die if you do missions after getting itOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Spoiler
I believe you have time for 1 mission after the IFF. I usually use that 1 mission to do Legion's loyalty mission.
