    Re: Red Dead Redemption

I would be surprised if it's actually called Red Dead Redemption 2 (Red Dead Revenge, Red Dead other R word, whatever. I don't think they use a number.) and I definitely know R* could design a better logo than that, so I don't buy any of that.

My guess is they're working on it and when they finally reveal it the wait won't be terribly long. Like it'll be released in the same year that it's revealed.

Seriously, Red Dead Redemption 2? That article could have tried a little harder to be convincing/creative.

I want it so bad I'm willing to believe just about anything.

I'm also patiently waiting for them to announce they've decided to make an LA Noire sequel even though Team Bondi closed. That was one of the most beautiful games I ever played on the 360. I can't even imagine what they could do in next gen.

I would love an actual police adventure/investigation game similar to LA Noire, but more involved and less handholding on the crime scenes. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up on Hardline.

The Homicide Case storyline was one of the best experience of gaming last gen. Absolutely great stuff.

I'm at almost 48 hours of playing time on my 100% completion game that I fire up every now and then and hunt & wreak havoc. Had a few cool new things happen...

I know nothing of this site or their sources etc and so on. But this article lost me at that sentence...R* (AAA game designers in general) could vomit a better picture than this for a game of RdR's magnitude.

They seem to have changed their tune, no longer claiming that it's confirmed.

The highly acclaimed video game, Red Dead Redemption has sold 13 million copies, and based on rumors by the video game industry, will there be a Read Dead Redemption sequel down the road?

Officially underway? Like they only started on the game recently? I know that's a load. Games are usually well into the production by the time the media catches wind or announces them. Unless it's a true sequel. But this won't or shouldn't be a true sequel. I have to imagine this'll take place earlier on. Maybe somewhere closer to the Civil War era? I'm not sure when Red Read Revolver took place...

I'm hoping they do less modern than redemption in the next one. Like, let's go old school.

They have a lot of history to work with. I assumed that New Austin was always a re-imagining of Texas, and having the Texan War of Independence or even the Indian Wars across the western part of the State would be interesting places to go to. Perhaps Bleeding Kansas or the Kingdom of Utah could also be some places to look at. Rockstar has a wide slate to play off of.

Not sure about that, go prior to the civil war and you are limiting your guns and gunplay (only single shot weapons*), you are severely changing the tone (all of the gunfighter and outlaw old west stuff was post civil war).

*Technically revolvers were around before, but they didn't proliferate until the civil war.

In all seriousness, I would LOVE for them to incorporate some real life outlaws and legends into this game like Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Wild Bill, The Earps, Doc Holliday, John Wesley Hardin and of course, Billy the Kid.

                                How awesome would that be?
