Re: Red Dead Redemption
If I didn't get everything done in new austin as far as side quests and treasure hunts. Once I finish Mexico will I be able to finish that stuff up? I kinda raced through a lot of stuff that first night, in a mix of excitement and delusion from it being after 5 am when I shut off the PS3.Moderator

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I think if you paint your shots when the target icon is white (as opposed to red), that you get more power with your shots. The more power you have, the faster the bar on the bottom right fills up and as long as your bar has more power than your enemies, you win.
I kind of missed the tutorial too because the girlfriend was talking. On that note, I find that I miss almost every tutorial popup because I just can't read the text or don't even see it sometimes. This is on a pretty good 40"LCD TV too - the tutorial text just seems really small.Comment

Between that and shooting someone off a high perch like a huge boulder and watch them fall to the ground dead is what makes this game so badass.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I picked this book up anticipating Red Dead Redemption since it looked like a story of the old west around 1876. It's much more. Michner goes back in time and follows the land, animals and people that settled the west. It's been an educational and entertaining novel.
It's a long book. The first 100 pages about the geography and wildlife were a litttle boring for me but once he got to the Indians I was hooked. Sort of has a Lost vibe to it as well due to how the different characters cross paths.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Props to Rockstar San Diego for all the unique interiors and environments. I just arrived at Thieves' Landing and it has a completely different feel from the other towns. I must have walked around for 25 minutes just looking at all the detail before even entering a mission. I had a couple of random encounters to that increased my fame.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Question:SpoilerWhen riding by some large rock formation after taking out Walton's gang and helping the Armadillo Sherriff w/ his first objective there was a group of people hanging a man. The man being hung was saying things like "You people are sick" etc. I couldn't stop them in time from hanging him, but will there be other opportunities to foil a plan to hang someone at this location called "hangman's rock" (or something)?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
