Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a horse online?

What level do you have to be? I've only played it once but, I didn't like it to much as of right now. I hate that damn donkey and do you always start out with sucky weapons?

as you level up and gain exp you'll start with better weapons and gain more skins and animals to ride.

I am loving the game so far. The whole feel of the game feels better than GTA4 and it just seems so refreshing.

The sell system is terrible, I had 19 feathers and that was bad enough....can't imagine how it'll get.

You can select how many you want to sell at one time. Left stick up/down, I believe.

How do you arrest people instead of killing them? I'll wind up shooting them in the leg and eventually I'll just wind up killing them.

I've tried a lot of different things but, I can't figure it out.

I'm assuming you're not very far in the game, if you do a few of Bonnie's missions, you'll get the lasso and you can hogtie people.

Was anyone else really let down once the story was over? I mean the main character dies out of nowhere. Then mysteriously your in the future with his son.
With no explanation for any of the time in between. Plus cars don't show up, which I was kinda hoping they would in Blackwater. I mean you see a car on the side of the road with a tire missing. Then 5 years later Jack goes to Blackwater and the same car is still sitting there. For such a good game, I just can't believe they leave you hanging like that.

No I'm not to far. Been hunting, gambling, and doing so many side missions I haven't really gotten far into the story yet. This game really has a great single mode that so far I'm liking better than online which says A LOT because, I'm all about the online.

you have to shoot the rope, i find it a lot easier to do with a shotgun or use level 3 dead eye to mark the rope

Are you aiming with LT/L2 before the shot?

Yeah it's just my throws are always very short. One literally went like a foot lol. The most points I've gotten in a game is 4.


And I love the Jose Gonzalez song called Far Away. I heard it when I first got into Mexico.

^ It takes into account how fast you move the stick. I never got any ringers but I beat the guy the only time I did it by using this method: I would aim it so the post was in the center of the horseshoe and then draw his arm back and hold it there for a second or two and stop the momentum, then push forward releasing it in the center dash. My best was like 1 inch.

For the guy asking about horses online. I'm not sure how I unlocked it exactly, but I'm now at level 7 and have a normal horse. For a while I had this skin and bones horse. I played in a posse and did like 4 gang raids before I got the good horse.

I would recommend that you just find an NPC slowly riding a horse down the road, ride your donkey in front of them and then just approach them and hit Triangle/Y-button to steal their horse.

For AnArtofWar: The horse Bonnie gives you is a Kentucky Saddler. It's one of the 3 best horses. I think the top 3 are supposed to be all equal (Saddler, Hungarian Half Bred, & American Standardbred) but it really did feel to me that the Standardbred was faster. Probably just my imagination and the fact that I found that horse much cooler looking.

You can only find the Saddler in New Austin, the HHB in Mexico, and the Standardbred in Tall Trees/Great Plains region.

Is there a certain area on the rope? I've tried everything, including dead eye.

Never aimed for a specific spot on the rope, I've just used the dead eye and with the crosshair over, I'd set it and get the X on it.

I'm finally done hunting foxes, Rank 7 now
