I've played online a few times with no issues.
What I may do different however,is I don't start multiplayer right away....in other words,I load up my single player game, then go to the menu and jump into mp.
I'm not sure if there's any difference, but if you haven't tried that yet, give that a go.
Just make sure to go ahead and load your sp game, then go to the menu and go to the mp section.

Just save the game in a safehouse. When you walk out of your door you'll see the guy going to post a new bounty.

Lost my single player progress because I exited and went to multiplayer. When I went back to single player my last save was gone and I was defaulted to the beginning of the game. I went to the dashboard and tried to load my save but it was gone. Any help?

WOW .....I haven't heard anything like this.
I hope all is not lost though. I guess the first thing I would check,is see on your 360's hard drive,if it shows and actual saved game file.

If so,then hope may not have been lost....and you just might have lost your most recent save somehow. If it does show a saved game file,I would then reboot the game, let it load up,and then select "single player"...and HOPE it somehow corrected itself.

If not...then I apologize as I wouldn't have a CLUE as to what may have happened, this is the first I've heard about this.

Is it just me or when you aren't looking for a fairly uncommon animal to hunt you seem to see a bunch of them then when you actively hunt for them you can find one worth a damn. R* is ****ing with us.

This game just doesnt want me to get 100%.. im at 99.1% and have 3 BOUNTY locations left in Mexico. But every Mexican bounty is in the same place.

Same on the US side.. Each one is at hanging rock.. I go to rattles. fork, armadillo, and the ranch and all the bounties are the same..... 6 hours of my life wasted trying to get that last percentage.

              thank you R*

anyone have any sort of advice? do I need to change outfits? i go out and camp, save there, drive back into town at all hours. i have tried just about everything.. it all seems like luck which isnt what I wanna hear lol

I just then got 100% and I didn't have any trouble getting any of the bounties. They were all placed in order.

                8 in New Austin
                8 in Mexico
                4 in the North

I did them one by one and it never repeated an area.

                  Re: Red Dead Redemption

                  2 VERY useful tricks.

                  1) For a quicksave while you're out there picking flowers or whatever, use the deed of the horse you're riding. That way, if you get killed by a Bear or Cougar, you'll still have everything you've picked up since your last save.

                  2) To skip the long skinning animations, park your horse directly over top of the animal and get off the horse. Make sure it says "skin animal" and press Y/Triangle. You'll receive whatever items you would of got for skinning without going through that long, drawn out animation. The animal will still appear to be normal instead of having it's skin gone like when you normally skin.

Played like 5 hours yesterday LOL. I think I was even dreaming about this game last night. I have not yet seen any cougars though. I am about 25% of the way through it. I got into Thieves town yesterday and I saw a guy caring away a girl hooker with him and she was screaming to be let go. So as the good guy I am I took out my gun and shot him....err but I missed and killed the girl I still shot him but when I missed everyone in town started to freak out and run away. My Honor took a hit

Open land and set up a camp site. Buy houses in the cities.
