I never got around to finishing RDR, but did pick up the DLC since it was on sale. Should I finish the main game before trying Undead Nightmare, or are they completely separate?

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Seconded.
By the way, I came across some interesting players over the weekend in Free Roam. Yesterday, some level 50 teenager was getting ticked off at all of the "noobs" getting on Free Roam this past weekend and shooting at him. He used a lot of colorful metaphors, especially for me, at level 42 right now, after I started shooting at him with apparently a gun that sucked because he wouldn't die. I was cracking up when he called me a noob.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I've gone "prestige" once, and leveled back up to 50 last weekend. This was before they added the "friendly free roam", so trying to do hideouts and getting picked off by kiddies was a pain in the ***. While taking some of the fun out of multiplayer, friendly free roam made leveling up easier.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I don't know why, but this made me laugh my arse off...maybe because it distills the essence of the entire online experience down to 2 sentences. Mindless battle that accomplishes no goals for anyone. Yup, that's my RDR online experience to date (and frankly, my online shooter experience in general).Comment

Agreed. I think that these open world "Free Roams" need to give you more to do rather than just drive, or ride, around aimlessly. It basically forces you to just walk up and start popping people. If the developers were to give people the ability to run shops/bars/become part of the marshals while roaming I think that might alleviate some of the aimlessness of online free roam.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Yes, that is true. There are a lot of challenges to accomplish. The picking flowers thing was rather tedious. Whatever you do, don't try and pick flowers on a hardcore free roam session. You're just asking to get popped by someone riding me. Happened to me a few times. But I eventually got all of those stupid flowers picked!“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Is there a new glitch going out where people can't be killed in an online free roam? I've ran into a few people doing it. You can shoot them all you want and it will show the blood and everything, but there is no hit marker and they will never die no matter what. I know it's not a connection issue or I'm bad because all of the people have sat there saying, "You can't kill me, hahaha.."“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
