Re: Red Dead Redemption
Just read online, and saw video, of a glitch involving dead-eye and the start button. canes21, were the people you were shooting at moving at all or standing still? The guy I was shooting at was standing still.
Reading about that stuff caused me to come across the mentioning of modded controllers being used and glitches in other games. I don't understand why people do that stuff. Why cheat while making the game so easy that you just constantly destroy other people? Wouldn't one get bored? Where's the challenge? I know it's kind of a topic for another thread but people apparently do these things in RDR so I mentioned it here.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Red Dead Redemption
It was in a Land Grab in Armadillo and I kept killing the guy, then he spawned basically right where I was staring and did a roll as soon as he spawned and I hit him 5-6 times straight with the Springfield and it never acted like I hit him, but blood kept coming out. He kept laughing the whole time and saying I couldn't kill him and walked up holding a knife and I shot 8 shots into him with the Semi Auto shotgun before he came up to me and killed me with the knife. I then chucked dynamite at him and it didn't even make him fall even though it was literally maybe 3 feet from him.
And I know it wasn't a friendly free roam session because every other person was able to be killed, but this one guy was not and knew it. It happened in a match the other day, but I thought it was just a random glitch they had no control over because two guys from different posses kept claiming the land while every was unloading on them and neither died.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Red Dead Redemption
In all honesty, just from my experience over the last month or so, the majority of the folks I've encountered on hardcore free roam don't seem to be doing some cheat to become invincible. Many are complete jerks but at least you can kill them. It's incredibly annoying when someone is doing invincibility cheat though. Hasn't ruined the game for me yet. Some of us OS'ers just need to meet up one triple xp night or whatever and just do a private session. That would be a safe option to eliminate any cheesers.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I just wanted to say I have not yet completed the story, so I've just now been able to open up more of the landscape... and I am freaked out by some of the "grizzly" animals that are out there that want to attack you.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I was three consecutive times on a mission up in the snow. Otherwise, I've been dropping them in the flat lands.
I want to try to take out a bear with a knife, by the way. Is there like a trophy for that or something? Sounds like quite an embarking task.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I ran into someone named AtomicIsaac last night who was doing this. Found me in Pike's Basin and followed me everywhere. All he did was just try to knife me or punch with his fists, even when I was in the middle of trying to complete a hideout. Every time I aimed at him, my target cursor would go gray and my guy pulled his gun back. Have no idea what that was about. Still got some shots off, including throwing dynamite. The guy never died. I never thought to boot him. I guess I was so determined to find a way to kill him somehow. Oh and this was on a friendly session of Free Roam.Comment
