I am still messing around Bonnie's ranch,but what really stood out to me was how awesome this game STILL looks...

Besides Blackwater, the ranch is probably my favorite area of the game. Just walking around as the sun goes down....awesomeness.

I'm hearing rumors of a November 2015 release for a sequel, set during the industrial revolution with Jack as main character. Again, these are just rumors since Rockstar hasn't "officially" announced anything.

Anyone else have any news on a sequel? I need one baaaaaaad....

Not sure how that's feasible since they'd be going back in time several decades if it's set during the Industrial Revolution.

Yup. Would appear to be unsubstantiated. I've done a small amount of surface digging and haven't found much with teeth, aside from random people claiming they've had their hands on leaks, like this supposed concept art from the next game:

All I care about is that there is another RD. The Industrial time period is intriguing. Love games set in historical past.

They are separate rumors.

However no one truly knows the plot of the game, but according to BREATHEcast, the character to replace John Marston would be Jack Marston, one of the lead character in the previous, "Red Dead Redemption". To add to this, there were reports that during CES 2015, Rockstar apparently told reporters that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be about cowboys during the rise of the Industrial Revolution.

BreathCast, whatever that is, has the rumor about Jack being the main character. The Industrial Revolution rumors were floating around during CES.

The Wild West/American Frontier from a historical perspective was considered to end in 1912 so RDR finished up right around that time. I'm not sure they can really go forward with Jack Marston as it'll go into the 1920's or 30's.

Something set during the IR sounds great though as many others have stated it would really limit the weaponry in the game.

You all find the sketchiest sites when looking for Red Dead 2 stuff. When something pops up on IGN, Kotaku, Gamespot, etc I will get excited.

When "Red Dead Redemption 2" comes out (I guess it would 'technically' be the 3rd game in the 'series', if even count Revolver....), that's the day I get a next-gen system. Until then, I can 't imagine anything getting me all that pumped for an upgrade...

Red Dead Redemption is by far my favorite game ever and it is what I consider the best game ever made. I sure hope the next one will live up to its greatness and if so, I sure hope we get an announcement soon.

I felt GTA 5 single player was a letdown (despite how amazing the game is from a technical aspect) so I am concerned the next Red Dead may follow.

I sure hope they'll have a red Dead Online mode as GTA Online is a blast.

I wouldn't mind getting the multiple-character thing from GTA 5. It'd be nice to play as a bad guy or at least a grey area guy.

It's fun to try to play RDR with Marston has a bad guy (sure, you can lose honor and build up a big bounty on your head) but all of the cut scenes and storylines make him a good guy.

Game is now officially off my radar. It's 4th delay, the issues, and releasing the same day as Alan Wake and Backbreaker, with UFC right after and Crackdown in there somewhere. Thanks for saving me $60 Take Two.

Hope you spent that $60 wisely.
