It's crazy on my friends list how many people are playing this again...it's like a new release.

Been a requested game seems like the cry has been ignored.

Gaming industry would stand to make plenty of money without having to gimp games with pay walls if they'd just listen to fans.

Ugh. This explains why my mount would not appear in the lobby I was just in also explains why I'm sitting at infinite loading screen trying to get into the outfitter. Haha.

Do it. WAY better than any AC IMO.

Having an absolute blast with the hogtie on my bounties!

Also, playing in a thunderstorm and it spooked my horse right off a cliff! Luckily I have the deed so just whistled for another War horse.

I remember reading awhile ago, but these tips will really help the new players:


-You can jump off a building onto your horse.
-Dead bodies appear as an X on your minimap.
-If you crouch by a hogtied victim, lock on, and attack with your knife, you will slit their throat.
-Lasso something and while holding LT press RT to yank toward you.
-Most weapon have an execution animation that's performed if you target and attack up close. If you don't target, you beat them.
-You can rob people if you aim at them at point blank range and quickly press Y.
-You can use your horse deeds to autosave anywhere.
-Ride your horse over a dead animal to skip the skinning cutscene.
-Pushing RT with no weapon drawn lets you push people and kick them when they're down.
-Pushing B makes John talk or tip his hat when appropriate. Possibly affected by morality.
-Pushing X when your horse isn't moving makes it rear up.
-There's no bandana animation if you're on your horse or your weapon is drawn.
-You can shoot certain windows. Also, if you go into cover by them and aim they break. Most of these windows can be vaulted through them by pressing X.
-You can enter certain buildings by breaking in through a window at night.
-If you lasso someone on your horse, you can hold LT and ride away and drag them behind you.
-Whistling for your horse after it has been stolen makes your horse buck the thief off.
-Riding along a train and pressing X lets you jump aboard at certain places.
-You can start bar fights by pushing people.
-Pushing left or right on the d-pad switches which shoulder you aim over.
-Pushing X while aiming lets you do a roll.
-While in a storage car of a train, you can press X to jump in or out.
-Lanterns explode when shot.
-If you find a herb, save, reload, it should be back.
-Pressing X while riding your horse will make it jump. You can use this to make it jump off cliffs.
-Poker players have tells.
-Trains stop if you kill the engineer.
-Camera gets rain, dirt, and blood on it.
-You can put a waypoint on your map, setup camp, and fast travel.
-Pushing Y while in cover by a closed door opens it.
-Some smaller animals will be vaporised by more powerful weapons leaving nothing to skin.
-Going into Dead Eye instantly reloads your weapon.
-Dead Eye also increases the effective range of weapons.
-If you go to save but exit before saving, time will still pass as it would have if you had saved.
-The seemingly random messages scrawled on walls and in the newspapers are cheats.
UPDATE
-The highlights around the scope point in the direction of enemies.

Man, I wish I knew half of those tips that Rubio posted when I went through the game the first time. Might be time to fire it back up...
