Re: Red Dead Redemption
I finally bought the Undead Nightmare DLC and am loving it. I forgot how great this game was and the zombie feature is a really cool and different story line.GT: Herkyalert

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I am thinking of picking up the game of the year addition as it's only $20 new at my local eb games. Never did finish the game the first time I had it but don't mind starting over plus I never played the undead nightmare. Hell On Wheels has got me in the mood to get back to the game."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

I really wish this was released for PC. I would never stop playing it.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
So after never completing it the first time around, I started all over again. As compelling as the story is, I can say that the game feels a little too long.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I'll say this though, I obviously can't speak for you, but my time spend in Mexico only made the next move all the more incredible (and relieving). Again, maybe you won't feel the same, but I'd definitely recommend sticking with it, at least to see how the next area treats you. That area was one of the best level transformations/reveals I've ever experienced.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Ah yes, I feel you there. My first time through, I enjoyed the entire journey. I got sucked in. However, on subsequent playthroughs, Mexico has definitely seemed to be the "long" point in terms of being in a dry, sometimes bland environment riding one's horse to many faraway locations performing some deeds that could be declared errand-like.

Just got to the new chapter, and definitely appreciate the change of scenery.Comment

It'll definitely feel long if you're just doing mission after mission, hoping to get to the end.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I guess the difference is if you're playing to beat the game, instead of playing for the whole experience if that makes sense. I gladly devoted hours doing absolutely nothing, practically avoiding missions at times.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Three years in, I think I'm finally gonna pick this up for PS3.
Sports games are starting to bore me, and I love westerns!
Don't ask me why I never looked into getting it before; guess I thought it would bore me. But seeing how this thread is still active years later, I must've missed something, lolComment
