I hate how once you complete the story, you're done. It needs to be like Oblivion where you can still go around and do side quests or whatever you want to do when you've completed the main quest line.

That's why I set up 2 files, one where I go through the story and the other where I do side quests, try for achievements, or just other random stuff.

I agree. They'll prob add it in later like they did with FO3.

LOL... OK. I wasn't hidden. I think I know who it is though because I went up to a guy that was walking towards the tower and tried to follow him, and he's like. "Good, so you're looking into who's breaking into the tower." And then walked away.

            Re: Fallout: New Vegas

Well I just had a nice scare with this game and my original PS3. I was going to Camp Golf and I started noticing the sound synch was off. So I allowed it to catch up. Immediately afterward some Mirelurks attacked me. I shot one and then my system turned off directly to a flashing red light.

It remained flashing until I turned it off. I immediately turned it back on and the TV continued to say no signal. It showed the PS3 splash screen after a minute and then froze again.

I let it cool down a little longer and it turned on to the user select screen. I turned it off again to let it sleep for the night. Needless to say Fallout will not be in my system until they patch it.

I am not usually one to say a game is broken as I really think the term is used to loosely, but this game is the very definition to the point that maybe damaging systems. I can handle game mishaps and bad AI. As a matter of fact give me half court Jesus, at least I can just properly restart. This development team should have tested this game before release because this game code has been doing these same crashes for years. As good and as fun as it is the horrible design really brings down my enjoyment. I am more scared of the freeze then anything the Mojave has thrown at me. I figured the frequent rebooting couldn't be good for my system and I was just proven right. I am hoping I am not out a PS3.

Sorry about the rant but I had to express my frustrations.

Side note: I was playing the game for no more than 10 minutes. After work I played a game of 2k11 before restarting the PS3 (to clear the memory) and throwing this game in.

yeah all the freezes etc are a bit disconcerting.

I had one the other night where it just froze for about 1 second then turned the whole system off as if i had powered down after about 10 mins of use. I restarted the system and it worked fine for another hour before i turned it off. Weird.

The game isn't going to do anything to your system by freezing or forcing you to restart, at the very worst it could corrupt a hard drive (and even that is a stretch).

                  Bought this...played a few days...hated it.

I just found it incredibly boring. The 'interaction' with the other characters is virtually non existant...the conversation stems don't seem to matter what you ask or in which order...they go on about 'freedom', but unless you do certain things nothing else happens for ages...

The storyline is dull...but I really hate the limited interaction. You wander for ages, find someone and all you can click on is three questions and that's it...go to the next area and it's virtually the same thing. 95% of charachters aren't even interactive, they just repeat the same lines.

And combat is terrible. I snuck up behind a guy and shot him in the head...he doesn't die until I shoot him six more times.

I am not sure what people see in this thing...but I hated it.

I contine to enjoy this game. It still makes me want to go back and play FO3 seeing as I only played it for a few days and then gave up on it. I am only a level 7, and last night I ran into my first Deathclaw! Needless to say, it was pretty much instaDEATH! I pulled up V.A.T.S. and try to hammer away and it brought down his health maybe a point with three direct head shots! So I tried to turn and run away to no avail. He caught me and b-slapped me into oblivion!

If I didn't finish Fallout 3, can I play this without being lost and or confused. Does the storyline follow up at all or is it a completely new experience?

I only played Fallout 3 for about an hour so I'm not having any problems with the story.

^ It's happened to almost everyone. My game froze approximately 6 times between hours 10-20. You just have to try and deal with it.

Save often. And don't play really long sessions. I only play like an hour or two, and then I let my system rest for a bit. Haven't had any issues in the past 15-20 hours of my game.

I have a bug currently that freezes to a black screen every time I try to enter the strip from any direction. I think it stems from a quest at the Atomic Wrangler in Freeside where they send you to collect debts. Anywho, I cannot continue the story at all and kept on playing the side quests and all that.

So I'm a maxed out level 30 and I've discovered every location on the map, but I cannot finish the story.

It was a good game otherwise, but I cannot believe a game so terribly bugged was released to the public.
