Can I get just the disc and play with my World Tour stuff? I really like the look of the song lists.

Maybe I'll wait for christmas but could be an interesting pickup...

There's a code on the back of your GHWT manual that you have to enter in GH5, then it will have you download a huge file that contains the importable songs. Supposedly this code cannot be used by more than one person.

Fun game though, I really like the extra side challenges on each song to get extra stars. It gives you something else to shoot for other than 5 stars... 8 stars

I also like that you can finally set your own band lineup with either created rockers or the stock GH ones. As soon as I unlock Cobain, he'll be my all time singer LOL

using the avatars is odd looking too. The challenges on the songs add some motivation to the songs, but I don't sing or have the drums, so I can't even do all of them. They also took out any achievements really worth a challenge, and focus more on the band achievements.

But this game is better than world tour. The graphics are better, but it seems like they widened the time you get to hit notes to make it much easier.

Thanks that's good to know - that's actually a good idea. I was actually wondering (obviously poorly worded)if I can play GT5 with my WT guitar and drums though. I' d rather spend $60 for the disc than $100-200 for the whole package.

Yes, you can buy the standalone game and it'll work with your existing instruments.

yeah I'm still using a 3rd-party guitar I got for the original Rock Band. It still works great for all the guitar games.

Yah the challenges are VERY poorly executed. Vocals are broken AGAIN so I won't get any of those,I only play the drums on medium so probably won't get any of those and if anyone is playing on beginner it disables challenges so no band ones either since I don't play online. Then there's the alt strumming and wammy ones on guitar that just aren't properly functional. On top of all that some are only doable on expert. Also it appears there's no cheat to even unlock the stuff people can't get.

is this the worst setlist of any music game?

It's got some standouts, but some I don't even want to play once. The censorship is also quite annoying, more than any other recent music game.

Even though I don't know a lot of the songs I've only hated 3 to this point,there were a bunch of songs I thought I'd hate too but they ended up with some redeeming quality. Beastie Boys,QotSA and Eagles of Death Metal songs are the 3 I didn't like. Even then the bands don't suck,I know all 3 have better songs that haven't been used yet. Rock Revolution and RB 2 are still on the bottom of the pile.

LMFAO the GH5 DLC is pretty weak, it falls off completely after the week of the Stones. Even then the Stones songs are pretty weak, only 2 are worth the money.

what guitar hero game has ever has stellar DLC? Activision wants to hold off notable songs for the next full release, that's why the setlist on the disk has to be stout. While this game is miles ahead of world tour in gameplay, the setlist feels flat.

I think there were maybe 6 songs I found interesting on the GH5 setlist, I'm glad that I saved my money. Even with the chance to get this game for 30 bucks, and GHVH for free, I walked on it.
