The graphics program was updated. Looks a bit better now...

...but tomorrow it should look a lot better...

According to a German gaming site they have reason to believe that tomorrow will be the day that Crytek will release the long awaited DirectX 11 patch for the PC, but DX 11 isn’t the only feature to watch out for in this patch, PC users will also be able to customize their graphics more properly

Crysis 2 PC lacked DirectX 11 and graphics customization but all will be fixed tomorrow with an update.

dangit.. there are just toooo many great games out now.. can't believe i'm about to pick up this one too.. i just love the idea of the game. not sure i'll get into multiplayer but i'm looking for something new and fresh on the single player front..

Could any be a pal and post the back story of crysis 1 and if that guy in the armor in the beginning was in the first one?

Note that Prophet is the guy that gives you the suit in the beginning. Alcatraz himself is not in Crysis 1. Fairly sure they do it that way so that they can have an excuse for including a tutorial to start.

Are you playing that on a PC with an XBox controller?

Can I ask why? If I could play a FPS with a mouse/keyboard, I would in a heartbeat.

Because I'm left handed and I don't do keyboard and mouse well with shooters. I struggled so much with the Mass Effect games on PC and honestly I like my 360 controller, since I got rid of my consoles last year, it keeps me feeling like I have a 360...lol

Just with superior graphics and no load times!

So despite the reviews, MP is a fail? I have interest in this game but only for MP purposes.

Thought i seen some people loved it and some hated it. I dont do mp but imo tbe single player stands on its own.

It's Call of Duty meets Halo.

If that's what you want, you'll enjoy it. If you are sick of the way Call of Duty plays, then pass.

I don't think the multiplayer is a fail, I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm not having the same issues that some are in this thread, and when I do have problems they're not as bad as what some other people have reported.

The maps look incredible and there's no slowdown. There's occasional lag but for me it's only noticeable when host is on the other team, and likely on a server across the country from me. I like the difference between the weapons. The SMGs act and feel like SMGs, you're not sniping anybody with those things like you would in Call of Duty. The SCAR is very versatile. The sniper takes some getting used, and won't one-shot anybody except for the occasional headshot. The heavy MG is a beast of a gun when used properly but it has a slow ROF and is very inaccurate. I'm only level 18 right now so I haven't unlocked many of the secondary and tertiary guns, but some of them look ridiculous.

The armor abilities are very sweet. It takes some getting used to at first but once you do it's a lot of fun. I generally use cloak to move around the map and then armor to engage in firefights, but you can use the abilities in different ways. The armor modules are some nick quirks as well, these are similar to the perks in the Call of Duty games but none of them are too over the top (thus, nothing like a One Man Army, Danger Close, etc. that imbalances the game).

The thing I like about the multiplayer is, you have to pick up a players dog tags for the kill to count towards you killstreak rewards. Thus, if you sit in a corner and snipe you'll never get the radar, or the Ceph Gunship, or whatever the killstreak rewards are on a certain map (they are not customizable and change based on the map). You need to run over a dead person's body to pick up the dog tags, and only the person who killed the enemy can get the dog tags, so there's no stealing of them by your teammates.

Altimus, did you play the demo(s)? Because I hated the first demo and warmed up on the second one but still wasn't sold. The retail is a lot more polished, and a lot more fun. It's easy to label it a Call of Duty: Future Warfare game, and I don't suppose it will ever quite shake those claims, but it does play different, the visuals are fantastic and it takes a while to unlock the better guns and armor modules so there's motivation to play for a while.

Also, it does not have ridiculous aim assist/snap-to that the Call of Duty games have. Keep in mind, there is some AA there because it's a console shooter, and literally all console shooters have it (even the ones that say they don't) but it's miniscule. And don't pay attention to the kill cam, it's an extremely inaccurate representation of what actually happened in the game.

It's FRAPS man, it cuts my from Frames from 97fps to 58.96fps...and sometimes to 55fps while recording....
