MP is great in my book. The graphics, weapons, maps, and atmosphere sits with the best FPS on the market. The controls feel similar and the setting feels like a breathe of fresh air.

It took me some time to get use to it but I love the change of pace Crysis 2 brings.

It's FRAPS man, it cuts my from Frames from 97fps to 58.96fps...and sometimes to 55fps while recording....

The framerate on the video you uploaded looks to be 15fps.

I like the multiplayer a lot, well done IMO.

only thing is I am constantly getting crappy connections.... red or two yellow bars where in other games i get green.... strange.

7GB down, 800MB up (which sometimes even makes me a host on CoD games)

anyone else have this issue?

I'm enjoying the MP, even though I'm not that good at it. I want to get up to level 18 so I can play the Assault mode, which is supposed to have a Counterstrike feel to it.

As someone who doesn't post much, but a long time member, I really enjoy the hell out of the multiplayer.It looks and sounds alot like CoD Future Warfare(to those that don't have it), but if you play Crysis 2 MP like CoD you will not do to good, if that makes sense.
You really got to know when to armor up or stealth up, which to me adds layers of gameplay beyond your average FPS MP.

I was looking for a game on the PS3 shooter-wise to carry me over until Battlefield 3/Uncharted 3, was so let down by Killzone 3 and Homefront, for reasons I won't get into, still hoping on SOCOM 4. So happy I gave Crysis 2 a chance, a nice pleasant surprise on a game I had completely written off.

Maybe it's just me or my eyes, but I don't think the PC has that big of an edge over the PS3/360 version, especially at the cost to make it run that well.

That's how I feel about most PC games... yes, they look nice, but not so nice that I need to spend that kind of money on a proper gaming rig.

I'm near the end of the game and just wanted to say how much I am enjoying the SP campaign. One of the better single player experiences for me on this gen of consoles. Story is only mediocre, but I love every other aspect of the SP.

Played a little bit of MP and liked that as well. I agree with the poster who said that it may seem like Call of Duty Future Edition on the surface, but if you play the game that way it is going to be hard to be any good at the MP. At least that is what I have noticed in my short time with the MP, the better players were not the guys playing the game like it was Call of Duty.

Sorry but no, it was 60 fps and I'm sorry if Youtube compressing it to death to make it 320 480, 720, etc...drops it so much...

Even when you play it back on Youtube it looks worse than the original file...

See the video file it shows clear as day 60fps to recording!!!

Just finished the SP campaign, like I said in my last post I found it to be a lot of fun and one the better SP's I have played. The plot was kind of convuluted and wasn't great,but I thought it was decent enough to get the job done. The rest of the package was what made this game a great SP campaign to me.

Is Prophets consciousness now part of the suit or something ,when he says they call me Profit at the end? I assume that if that were the case that Prophet's mind or memories were assimilated into the suit, before he gave it to it Alcatraz. That would be my guess.

I dig the ending, you can take it so many different ways.

that at the end, Alcatraz claimed himself to be the "new" Prophet in honor of the original. Think of it this way, a definition of a prophet is one who is in contact (or receives a message) from a higher, divine source or spirit, to carry upon to others... I consider Hargreave to be a "digital spirit" who explains to Alcatraz how to defeat the Ceph in order to save humanity. Of course, the two issues for the old guy were that he was pretty greedy (he wanted to take them down himself) and that the return of the aliens took way too long in his own lifetime... But nonetheless, Alcatraz fulfills this prophecy by doing the deed and game over: NYC is saved.

Another quick point, is that even the spirit of the original Prophet is in contact with Alcatraz (as seen by the flashbacks and the ending conversation), so it also fills Alcatraz's role as a prophet.

I've been following this thread since release to get info on the multiplayer, this post about the gameplay being like COD is all I needed to not get this game. I was hoping to get rid of Homefront as the idiots online have really ruined the game for me. I guess I'll go back to just playing sports games exclusively.

You need to get rid of Homefront and get Crysis 2. Tomorrow.

It's a good 10 hour single player campaign experience. And the gameplay, due to the suit mechanics is very different from any COD out there.

Get the game.

Are you playing that on a PC with an XBox controller?

Can I ask why? If I could play a FPS with a mouse/keyboard, I would in a heartbeat.

LOL. Cause I type with a keyboard all fricken day at work. I game with a controller. I enjoy the less precise analog sticks with auto aim to a keyboard and a more precise mouse. Also love the implementation of force feedback in the game. Coupled with 5.1 sound...pure gaming immersion.

I play on PC because of the better visuals and the mods.

Simple really.
(maybe the person you asked has the same reasons)
