Cyros, Great Video!!! Really shows the teamwork of the game. I'm curious, why is that one guy Purple? is he on your fireteam? or is he A human player?follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Yep and using the engineering ability of upgrading the cp adds another pip of health or supply. I was charging my mic when we were playing and then I had to run to the store for the wife. Looking forward to some more matches though. I got about 4 guys off my friends list to pick it up and they are liking it so far.
I maxed out my first character last night, he is an engineer with some soldier abilities. My next character will be operative with a little engineer.Last edited by 3nDAmornin; 05-15-2011, 10:45 AM.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Good games last night fellas. I still have hardly anything unlocked, so I'll keep playing Medic until I can get some of the better unlocks.
I just unlocked the light body class last night, so I need to figure out how to play it better. I was getting my butt kicked the few games I tried playing a light guy.
Don't listen to the reviews for this game unless you really want a single-player shooter. I'll admit that the single-player experience is terrible, but the multiplayer more than makes up for it.
Nice variety of maps and plenty of different ways to play the game thanks to all the classes, body types, and perks you can mix and match.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Picked this up yesterday, and next thing I knew it was 1 in the morning! Its a blast so far. Really like being a Heavy Engineer, mini gun, shotty and turrets FTW! LOL
Had a few bad games with the lag, but it seems to be few and far between. A bigger problem is the lone wolf syndrome that a lot of people seem to have with this game. But when the team clicks and works together, its truly a masterpiece.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
am I the only one where the lag has gotten WORSE (360)
at launch was getting in lots of full games...now every other match is a slide show. Not to mention on games that appear to work, I'm getting my butt kicked, where before I was doing pretty damned well. I'm dying instantly which also smells like lag.
Was enjoying it, now I'm notComment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Try competition mode (5 vs. 5) or old school mode (4 vs. 4) if you're having lag.
Occasionally I will get a laggy game, but for the most part, lag is a non-issue for me playing those two modes.
Going to take the dog to the park right now, but I'll be on later tonight. Anybody playing on the 360, send me a friend request if I haven't already added you.
Protip for the day:
The revolver pistol with the COG scope attached is basically as good as a sniper rifle. Try it out! That thing is a beast.Last edited by jyoung; 05-15-2011, 01:36 PM.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
ye 5v5 I get in some games but as a usually top 3-5 player in many FPS games I play, I am getting destroyed. it doesn't help that very few people play medics and are never around to throw you a revive, or when they are they are too busy looking to kill people, rather than revive (I play as a medic).
so you lay there forever or respawn and run a mile back to the "objective"Spoilerthe killing zone
it's a shame as I really want to like this gameLast edited by Klocker; 05-15-2011, 02:10 PM.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Yeah you need at least one other friend in your game to really coordinate attacks and help out with objectives.
Right now I'm playing medic pretty much full-time since it is useful in any situation and there aren't many of them in public matches.
This game is all about teamwork, baby! No room for lone-wolfing.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Just as an example of how much better the bot AI is now after this latest PC patch...
You guys know the Container City map where Security has to escort a bot to open the Maintenance lab, and then deliver a package from inside it? The attacking AI was just DREADFUL on this map before, barely able to get the first gate blown before time ran out.
I set up a 5v5 freeplay botmatch (normal difficulty) and just spectated it. In this new patch, Security was past that first gate in no more than 3 minutes. You could always see at least 2 guys walking alonside the bot to keep it moving, it never got disabled once. And they won with roughly around 20 minutes left on the clock (remember, time gets added on when primary objectives are completed. It was pretty cool to see the AI actually work effectively as a team.
Hope this patch comes to the consoles soon - it's very much needed.Comment
