So if someone gives you a revive shot, does the opposing team know you're not "dead" yet? If not it will make for very interesting zombie moments where you walk through a scene of dead bodies and one rises up behind you and caps you in the dome.

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
correct me if I'm wrong but the "opposing team" are all AI bots correct?
there is no competitive head 2 head AFAIK.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
It is an option for making the other or opposing team full of either bots or people online.
That's what makes this game unique.
You could either play it alone with 7 other bots on your team against 8 bots, or with 7 friends against 8 AI, or a full online match.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
This paragraph from the Joystiq preview Pete posted seems pretty clear:
The player can play solo or take the fight online with private or public multiplayer. If the preferences are set to public, simply start playing and real players will drop in sporadically to replace NPCs. Simply "dropping into" a match is something Splash Damage is committed to. "We're challenging those assumptions, like, 'Why do I need to be in a lobby before I start a match'" Wedgwood told us. "And, 'Why do I need this party thing if they're on my friends list anyway?'" As flexible as that is, at the same time the game is very customizable. You can decide how many AI players you want, or whether or not you want to reserve a few spots in the match for your buddies.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
EDIT:
EDIT: yea! you are correct.... this is human on human... ok this game just moved to top of my list for next purchase.!!
Every multiplayer level is also a level in the single-player campaign. In the campaign, just like in the multiplayer, you can choose either faction, Resistance or Security and play out their story. In doing so, Brink has blurred the line so completely between multiplayer and single-player that it will be impossible to walk into a room and tell which one is being played. Your character will be persistent across both modes, continuing to build towards the game's Level 20 cap. This allows players to spend time in either single-player or multiplayer without worrying about their character not leveling.Last edited by Klocker; 04-25-2011, 12:16 PM.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
May 10 really can't get here soon enough. I really like not being inundated with gameplay videos before the release. It makes the game a little bit of a mystery and makes me feel like a little kid counting down the days to Christmas with excitement. It will be so refreshing to play an FPS that is completely different and so reliant on teamwork. Thanks for sharing, good find.Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
see that's why I'm so confused about how this works....
looking at that video notice that NONE of the enemy had MP tags above their heads, only your team (from what I could tell) ... appearing as if the enemy is AI (like Borderlands and L4Dead MP)Comment

Re: Brink (360/PS3/PC)
Take your unique character online at any time you choose. Brink allows you to seamlessly move between single player, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.Comment
