I picked up ArmA1 in April. I am a little lost with the mods to get. I only got the ACEmod as most sites list it at being the best. Any suggestions on what else I need?

I would like to jump online with this, but my CPU has trouble with the frame rate.

On page 4 I listed some of my favs. But I think finding some of them might be tough.

ACE mod is run on alot of servers. It has a mixture of stuff in it. "MOST" other mods are compatible with it. But you might have to remove certain files from other mods and do some weird editing.

Me and Hoosier jumped on some Co-op for a little while last night. Our mission was to take two squads of infantry and seize a town from the enemy. Lets just say we were heavily out numbered and the squad that was protecting our right flank would lose the flank and we would get surrounded. We made two attempts at it, but we needed more human coop members to succeed at this one.

2 Humans with 18 stupid AI allies can not take on a 100 enemy AI. The mission is designed for 20 co-op members.

I been doing nothing but getting missions ready for Co-op play. I got a couple 10 player coops, I got a bunch of 4 player coops and I even got a couple of 2 player coops. I would like to run this mission with someone this weekend if anyone is up for it.

Summary:
This mission is a full featured coop sniper mission for two players. It is of the realistic open ended variety.


Features:

• - Selectable Intro On/Off, Difficulty, Time of day
  - Full featured briefing
  - Randomised patrols which call for backup when in trouble
  - Realistic reactions to nearby loud noises
  - Multi weapon switching
  - Voice acting
  - Outro
  - Dedicated Server Support

Compatibility:
The release version has only been tested on 1.08. Other versions of the game should work, but earlier versions may not.


Singleplayer/Multiplayer:
These missions are multiplayer only. They can however be played solo. This must still be done in the multiplayer game area.

This mission fully supports dedicated servers, however, it is a little silly to run a two player mission like this. Since ARMA bases update frequency of non-local units on distance from the player, and the sniper is the player that actually needs this aspect to run smoothly the most, it is reccomended that the person playing the sniper hosts the mission.


Hosting:
You can host this anywhere you want, but if you let us know via PM we'll add a link in the download thread and let you know if we patch it. We would also prefer if you included a link back the home thead, as that is where we'll be posting updates, answering questions etc.

Unpack the PBO file into C:\YourArmaDirectory\MPMissions\

I bought Arma 2 and absolutely love it. I have a lower end machine but I just lower everything. I think its awesome and I haven't even gotten into the editor. This is my first BIS title ever - didn't even play OFP - so when everyone started raving about the series I immediatley bought Arma 1 as well. I've been pretty busy with life at the moment so I haven't had much of a chance to play Arma 1 aside from the first mission and downloading the ACE mod but hopefully we can organize some OS games of Arma - whichever version.

Yea we need more guys playing both. I am going to get Arma2 in about a month. I wanna let them patch it up some more. but the first is amazing enough to keep me busy for long tie just with Arma 1

Where was all my Arma recruits this weekend. I spent most of my time trying to find someone to do some Co-op with. We need to get 3 or 4 of us on at the same time so we can run some Co-op missions.

We need to put aside a OS ArmA day. That way we can see who can make it and see what size mission we need to try to take.

I know a couple the missions I downloaded you need a Designated Pilot. Someone to drop the team off, Maintain over watch and extract the team once mission is complete.

When do you all think would be a good day to shoot for a ArmA game? The weekend or during the week?

I am thinking like a Saturday late afternoon around 6pm.
