    Re: Two Worlds II Impressions

Just picked this up today for $39.99 at Kmart. I got to play for about an hour before I had to break out and I must say that I am impressed so far.

I still do not understand how the magic cards work yet? There seems to be a million and 1 things that you can do as far as magic is concerned.

Look a few pages back. I posted a link to a free downloadable guide (register) or just use the one on the site. Does a nice job explaining everything.

I didn't know that there was armor above Knight Armor... But just got a taste of Orc armor. I'm almost to a level 36... so then I can try it out. I bought it, but haven't gotten to use it.

I have the Dragon Armor that was part of the pre-order package too... but it's one piece, and I don't like being able to mix and match.

I must have just skipped right over that link lol (comes with age). Thanks.

Only thing that I do not like about this game is the horse riding...

Man it's tough trying to be a mage in the early stages. Those damn warthogs do not give you time to recharge.

Agree.... That's the main thing that is terrible. Probably why I haven't used a horse in a good while.

I've only played through the intro/tutorial but man this game is ROUGH. I don't blame people one bit for giving up on this game after an hour.

How is it rough? IMO there isn't a thing wrong enough to justify stopping after 1 hour. Then again COD put me to sleep 20 minutes and COD lovers would disagree with me lol
In any case it only gets better and better.

I'm mostly likeing the freshness of it and like I mention a gazoogle times the magic system is crack.
I used to love the FPS but they've all become stale and "same ole" "same ole" but some eat that up... everyone has different tastes...

Keep playing man and like some others have posted the game will turn you around.

Agreed... there's so much stuff to do. I'm going across the lands, killing everything to either A, see what potions I can come up with... Or B, see how much equipment and jewels I can get to upgrade different weapons. I still can't build up armor, as I haven't found the Fortify Armor book to buy. It's driving me crazy.

I had to hang up my TW 2 boots for a few days as Dead Space 2 and Grad School work has been taken up my time. I popped it in tonight and still had a blast. For me, if the game is still fun after the honeymoon has worn off it's worth every cent. This is what I wish Divinity 2 and Sacred 2 would have been. It's not perfect and I can see where it may not be some people's cup of tea...but it is damn good for what it is..especially considering a very small team developed it...and did so after having their rears whipped big time by the reviews of the original game.

I can't wait til the SDK comes out so we will start seeing some good mods come out on the PC version. I'm doing the side quests, and I"m still having a blast. Looking forward to seeing how far everyone is. I'm sporting some Orc armor and an awesome looking shield.

I'm seeing new weapons and armor pop up all of the time.

just a tip, if you want a cape with your armor, you need to buy it prior to level 19. There is a glitch that won't let you buy capes for heavy armor past level 19.

Come on now. The character models are bad, the animations (especially while talking) are atrocious, the voice work is atrocious (reminds me of the mid 90's when they couldn't afford for anyone other than their own employees to do the voices), the camera is annoying, the writing isn't great, the environments were bland. I could go on, but you get the point. Maybe it's just a horrid PS3 port? It was like playing an early PS2 game upscaled.

Things look a little better, but I may have to abandon the game because of the stupid blur every time the camera moves, giving me a headache.

Im having a blast and have seen worse animations that seem to get a pass if the name of the game is one of the 'in games'. Environments a far far from bland and in fact i think they looks great. Yeah some of the acting etc are not up to current standards as Ive pointed out, but bottom line for me is the game in F.U.N......And I enjoy the hell out of it.
To each their own but its not nearly as bad , at least on 360, as you see it.

Sorry you dont like it.......Just shows different strokes for different folks.

Yeah i agree there. Whats weird is its not to bad at times but sometimes its very blurry.
Im about to hit chapter 3 though. Really liked chapter 2 land/area.
