Each type of creature seems to have its own distinct level of aggressiveness. Some will attack on sight and give chase if you run away. Others are more passive and won't attack unless provoked. So far I've had packs of baboons attack me by throwing rocks (at least I hope it was rocks), been chased by an ostrich and killed more times than I care to count by giant ants. I thought it was really cool that not all animals attack in the same way, i.e. cheetahs won't attack if you're watching them, but will wait to pounce once your back is turned.

The degree of difficulty in combat is significant, at least for me. And like Skyboxer, I have yet to encounter a major glitch, although I have had some technical issues like missing dialogue. In terms of where it ranks among recent RPGs, I'd certainly put it behind Oblivion and Dragon Age, but the gap isn't that large.

It's a deep, traditional RPG that offers some neat features (like crafting) and what appears to be a lengthy story with a huge map to explore. Just my .02, but I'd suggest RPG fans at least give it a rent and make their own decision.

I swear the magic system is crack to me. Love collecting the cards and modifiers etc.. You can create some really cool stuff.

If you do ust remember even on normal difficulty its a good challenge. Must be patient and no shame in retreating lol

Ive made some cool spells so far. Seems i spend a lot of time searching out the magic cards just to see what i can create ..

Thanks for the tip about the difficulty. I may wait to pick this up at K-Mart on Sunday for $40. But, I may rush out it just a few.

            I know. I have issues.

I agree with Sky in his assessments. The magic is cool and the crafting is also a lot of fun. The voice acting to me is hit or miss some voices are good while others are well not to good especially the main character. Its a fun game, is it groundbreaking NO but its fun and thats what counts.

I have yet to start this, I'm stuck between this and the ME2 which I am about 10 hours into, but seeing as ME2 is randomly deleting saves I might have to switch.

You have to register but here is a site where you can download a pretty in depth Guide...
Helps if you're not understanding the magic system etc...
I wouldn't use it to see the spell stuff as part of the fun is creating them yourselves but there is a section explaining how the spell system works...

This guide to Two Worlds II contains a detailed description of all the quests available in the game, together with all the possible solutions, endings and their consequences. It also contains a world atlas which is a supplement to the main guide.

Re: Any News On Two Worlds 2?

In the past two years I have played Sacred 2, Divinity II and (somewhat unfortunately) Arcania. Throw in a little bit of Oblivion, Dragon Age, Fallout and ME and it tells that I tend to like Western RPGS.

First of all you cannot compare this kind of a game to anything that is developed by Bioware. The production values aren't that high. That being said...after two hours of play I am having fun with the game warts and all (and there are a few warts...for example the instructions has a page titled The Story So Far with an illustration of the Playstation controller underneath it. It's really strange). The game has a much better narritive beginning then Sacred 2, Divinity 2 or Arcanis IMO. The classless system allows you to build the character you want and the graphics are nice considering how small the team and budget is.

The voice acting will not win any awards but it is SOOOO much better than the phoney English accents in the first game. It kind of sounds like the main character is trying to do a toned down version of Bale's Batman, but that may be just the way I hear it. The quests are somewhat linear and there is a voice glitch. Also the game is somewhat terrible with its tutorials. It tells you to hit the RT to prepare a spell, but doesn't bother mentioning you have to release the trigger to actually cast it. Additionally horse riding is a little wonky.

I like this kind of game, but lately (especially with Arcania) I have been let down. I like this game (so far) a bit more then Risen and I liked Risen. I think this game seems a bit more **** than Risen. Also..as has been mentioned: the whole crafting and spell building system is a lot of fun.

It's funny..I got Dead Space 2 today and the production values of that game are off the charts. However, I had just as much fun messing around with TW 2.

P.S. For some reason the initial settings of TW 2 shows you item/weapon properties in weird symbols that are never explained. If you go into settings and turn on a text something something item setting it will resolve this strange situation

Also there seems to be a sound glitch that is cutting off random lines of dialogue.

Did you install the game? I have not had any sound issues at all yet.
And yes setting the Icons to words = Sweet lol

I just bought about 5 new cards and have been playing around trying new things etc...
Anyways like you stated, there are some small issues but the fun factor is there.
It gets better and better as you get more abilities and cards. I started out focusing more on fighter stats but lately its all about the magic.

Just made it into the place where my bed is for the first time, and have to actually get some sleep. Decent intro, controls take a little getting used to. For the PC, graphics are actually pretty good. Definitely will take some getting use to controlling. Haven't messed with making any weaponry or spells as of yet, other than the one spell you have to make during training.

Overall, not a bad experience for the first 20-30 minutes of gameplay. Looking forward to playing some more tomorrow night.

What is everyone using for the camera sensitivity? The default seems a little too sensitive.

The ocean looks amazing by the way, I'm just about an hour into the game. The voice acting is pretty bad. Especially the main character. Sounds a little like Christian Bale as Batman.

Pretty deep with the crafting, I really like that. Looking forward to exploring more tonight.
