    Old forgotten games

I thought it would be nice to write about some old good and forgotten games.
I'll start with Kill.Swtich. Do you guys remember this one? I used to have it on the PS2. This game was a 3rd person shooter and probably one of the first (and best) games to use a cover system. I think it was released in late 2003 or early 2004.

    Gameplay video (Xbox version):

    SpyHunter

First of all, why wasn't this game better received among the general population despite its glowing reviews? Second of all, why the hell didn't the sequel follow up the greatness of the first game? I have no freakin' idea in either case, I loved this game to no end, and would have been a great PS3 game if taken care of properly.

    Roller Coaster Tycoon 3

I haven't heard much about this game on these boards. RCT3 was a pretty good installment when relating it to other games that converted from cartoonish graphics to polygonal graphics, and it has a decent community in terms of built parks. I know this site doesn't have very much PC gaming talk, but these games are rather everlasting if you remember that it's on your shelf.

Funny, but my brother just bought one of the Roller Coaster Tycoon games for his 9 y/o son. I think they like it.

Yeah, I didn't actually mean to say that RCT3 is an old game, but it derives from a franchise that spawned a whole bunch of other games in when... 1999 or something? This game is maybe four years old by now at least. I just wish it were a little more refreshed from time to time these days.

Simpsons Hit & Run...oh man that game was AMAZING...I am going to try and buy a ps2 version so I can play it on my ps3 one of these days. I still have yet to play the Simpsons game..but from the demo I can almost tell nothing will beat that game of the Simpsons series..or any other tv game for that matter...unless they make a South Park sand box well...that would be awesome.

I still pop in Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 on occasion. I love it.

I realize there's more awareness of it now considering that a sequel is finally being made, but for the longest time Red Dead Revolver went largely unappreciated. God that game was fun. Really opened up my love for games taking place in the old west. Speaking of which, if you haven't played GUN yet, now's as good a time as any.

There have been six Spy Hunter games, the original three and then the remake and two sequels.

The PS2 Spy Hunter was a remake of the 1984(?) arcade game.

The last game was the one with The Rock in it that was supposed to be made into a movie but it never made it.

Oh, then in that case when I refer to the "original" game, I'm referring to the first PS2 version. Sorry for the ambiguity on that one. SpyHunter 2 for PS2 was comparatively atrocious, in my opinion.

                        Shenmue (Dreamcast)

One of the most engaging, epic, stunning game experiences ever. And the 2nd was even better. It's a pity Sega never continued and finished the story.

The really should remake the first 2 in current gen tech and add it with the final chapters to wrap the story up.

Thank god for Yakuza but Shenmue will still remain one of the best, forgotten games.

Shenmue 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games of all time. I can still literally WATCH videos of it and be engaged. I absolutely loved those games... probably my favorite series of all time, and I never even got to see how it ended

Body Harvest for the N64. It was supposed to be a launch game but then got delayed. It wasn't the most well-received game in reviews because people felt since it was delayed that it should've been better, but it was a lot of fun to play.

Hybrid Heaven for the N64. It was a hybrid fighting game/RPG and it actually worked pretty well. That is, of course, until my game stopped working so I was unable to finish it.
