First game that came to mind is this game for PC. It's not a vintage game from some old console, but I loved it.

I can remember hoping for snow days back in grade school so that I could stay home and play this all day.

Damn man that game brings back so many memories. I logged so many hours into that game.

              Re: Old forgotten games

I'd say the original "Lakers vs. Celtics" on the Sega Genesis is to this day one of the best basketball games ever released (even though it had the "Tom Chambers 3-point-line-dunk" and the unstoppable Barkley gorilla slam). My friends and played that game until the cartridge literally broke...at which point we went out and got another copy.

There was a great, way-ahead-of-its-time football game for the Commy64 called something like "GFL Football" or something that had a 1st-person view of the action where you would have to memorize routes and run x-number of steps out, then y-number of steps left/right, then hit the button (yes, there was only 1 at the time) to put your hands up to catch the ball...the game really had a lot of good ideas, it's just been lost to the mists of time....

Also, I used to really like the "Quest" series from Sierra Online - "King's Quest" being my fave (especially V, with the awesome/revolutionary GUI!!!), but "Space Quest" and "Police Quest" being a close second. The games seem simple and lame now, but at the time, on my 'rents 386, it seemed awesome.

Finally, I think mentioned this in some other thread before, but there was also a boxing game for the PC called "ABC Wide World of Sports Boxing" that was totally awesome. When I beat Killer Knauer and Big Jer Allnite back-to-back to win the title, it's still one of my proudest gaming moments.

A game that I truly loved on PSX was Blood Omen The Legend of Kain. A really killer gothic vampire Action/RPG. The sequel Blood Omen II on PS2 was also a blast. I also enjoyed Soul Reaver as well. Great series.

                              Re: Old forgotten games

I saw a post in here mentioning Golgo 13 Top Sercet Agent for NES. That game was a classic and one of my favorites for the NES along with it's sequel (and much easier) The Mafat Conspricy.

                              Some other long lost classics:

                              Alien Trilogy (PSX)
                              Battle Arena Toshindon (PSX)
                              Kessen (PSX)

I also played a couple of text based games (DOS) on my 486 from Wizard Games called

Good to Firm (awesome horse racing sim)
                              Rockstar

And my all time favorite Computer game (I really do not play any CPU games at all):

Star Wars X-Wing and Star Wars Tie Fighter. Just awesome. I must have logged hundreads of hours playing those.
