If anyone remembers the first railroad tycoon game for the PC, it's a great game (made by Sid Meier) if you're into that sort of thing. The sequels never topped it. I keep a dos-based machine to be able to run it.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
I haven't heard much about this game on these boards. RCT3 was a pretty good installment when relating it to other games that converted from cartoonish graphics to polygonal graphics, and it has a decent community in terms of built parks. I know this site doesn't have very much PC gaming talk, but these games are rather everlasting if you remember that it's on your shelf.Joshua:

Yep. Bought one about a year ago off Ebay with about 12 games. 50.00 is what I had to pay. Hooked it up and made sure everything worked....then boxed it back up lolJoshua:

Re: Old forgotten games
Shenmue was a classic. I took forever to get through the first game because I loved just walking around. They really should finish the story.
Body Harvest for the N64. It was supposed to be a launch game but then got delayed. It wasn't the most well-received game in reviews because people felt since it was delayed that it should've been better, but it was a lot of fun to play.
Hybrid Heaven for the N64. It was a hybrid fighting game/RPG and it actually worked pretty well. That is, of course, until my game stopped working so I was unable to finish it.
By the way, I thought I heard that they were making another KI.......Comment

Re: Old forgotten games
Great thread, guys.
I co-sign on the mention of Shenmue by Admiral50 and a few others. I like the controls a lot as it is primarily based off of Virtua Fighter-style combat system and commands. I especially loved 80-man fight at the end.
Anyway... being mostly an arcade gaming nut as a youngster, I grew up playing Sega arcade games like Hang-On, the crazy Space Harrier series (The certified "What the hell am I playing?!" game of its era), OutRun, After Burner II, Shinobi [the series with some of the best videogame music ever, but that's another topic altogether], Super Hang-On [ditto on the music], Super Thunder Blade, a bunch of shooters like Gradius, R-Type, Raiden, Darius and action games like Double Dragon, Rastan, Strider (another awesome "WTH is this?!" game of its time -- this game begs for a modern update), Forgotten Worlds, Ghosts 'N Goblins & Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Rush 'N Attack to name a few. Most of all I was a real Sega slut back then (this is waaaaay before the Sonic series existed I may add) and I'm not afraid to say it, LOL! Playing Sega's Galaxy Force II on the rotating cabinet was a truly unforgettable experience. There was absolutely nothing like it when that game dropped. Nothing.
During the '90s I was more of a Sega slut than ever. I remember my jaw dropping when I first played Sega Rally Championship in the sit-down machine that tilted during drifts. I also remember spending a fortune in Super GT... putting down bets on races :-) ). Can't forget the very good yet unheralded Sega Touring Car Championship -- tough luck trying to find this arcade racing gem anywhere these days. The light gun House of the Dead series games are still great. Who remembers Gunblade New York and its sequel LA Machineguns? Confidential Mission was really good and I wanted to see another one made, but that never happened. Oh well. Gotta give props to Namco's outstanding Time Crisis series. And the Virtua Fighter series holds a place in my heart to this day. So much thought went to putting those group of games together in terms of creating various fighting style/concepts, a steadily evolving combat system that's easy to learn but very difficult to master, gameplay character balance, background scenery and graphics. It's such a piece of art.

Re: Old forgotten games
I think this game was called Mike Ditka's Ultimate Football (PC). My brother got it from someone and I used to play it a lot. I'm not sure if it had the NFL license, but who cares? It was such a fun game.My Specs:

For years I couldn't remember the name of that game. I always knew that it was Harvest something but figured that I might have been dreaming about it. I meant to buy that when I had the 64. Wow, been ages. That was a good game.

Re: Old forgotten games
I wasn't as much of a console gamer as I was an arcade gamer until recently (because of the dying arcade scene :-( ), but I did own and enjoy my fair share of console games on Sega's and Nintendo's and Sony's systems throughout the years.
I really liked Super Thunder Blade. I already raved about the music in Shinobi and Super Hang-On, but STB had some kickass background music in its own right -- especially the tune that plays whenever the mini-bosses showed up during the middle of a stage. "Funked-up jazz" is what I always called it. Sega's music group SST were truly great at creating musical scores for their games. They were a one-of-a-kind group for real. At any rate... believe it or not, the Sega Master System version of the original TB was very hard, and I think it's tougher to beat than the arcade and Genesis versions. The river and refinery stages in the original TB are flat out insane.
As far as robotech like game, are you referring to E-SWAT?
