I loved Road Rash for the Genesis (not sure if this is correct). I also liked Streets of Rage.

      Re: Old forgotten games

There was a PC game, I think back in the late 80's, called Bad Street. My friend and I used to play for hours!
      My Specs:

      ZX Spectrum
      CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
      GPU: Monochrome display
      RAM: 48 KB
      OS: Sinclair BASIC

A lot of great games in this thread. I mentioned Landstalker in the "Least Popular Games..." thread. Flashback, Shining Force, Parasite Eve were all great games.

        Some more:

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

LOVED Shining Force...one of my favorite RPG/Strategy games of all time! Suikoden was great too...I wore out the first one and only played part of the second. I bought 5 not that long ago for a few bucks...it's actually pretty good, though it starts a bit slow (long story build-up before you're free to adventure).

Going further back, there was a game on Nintendo I don't remember very well, but I know I used to really enjoy called The Bard's Tale (I think). It was pretty addictive.

Not that old in the overall scheme of things, but I also loved the QB challenge in QB Club 2002 (The main game was just eh).

For baseball, the old Hardball series with Al Michaels was a blast for me too.

Anyone remember Landstalker? It was 75 bucks when it came out. One of my all time favorites:

Landstalker is probably the best action-RPG on the Genesis for sure. good one.

For SNES, The Secret of Mana was AWESOME. a Co-op Multiplayer RPG! man me and my boy played that game for Hours upon Hours!

My brothers and I used to rock this one a lot. We had the first one, too, but no Co-Op!

This one had a very cool battle system, I thought, but WAY too many random battles. I think a sequel dropped to this one, too, but I never seen/played it.

This was supposed to compete with FF VII () but didn't manage to come out until several years later. It was actually a ton of fun, but I personally was let down by the boss.....

I just think this character is ridiculously awesome. Another side-scrolling beat-em-up

This game took the NBA Jam formula and improved it in every way, IMO. Spent a ton of time on this one.

If anything else pops up in my head, I'll let y'all know.

I absolutely can NOT forget this one. Probably the first sports game I ever got REALLY into (playing entire Seasons and what-not). Not to mention it came complete with MJ, and signature moves! Jordan reverse lay-up! Shawn Kemp ooping it to himself off the backboard (My personal favorite)! Buck-nasty!

I'll add these in addtion to previously mentioned Shenmue and Shining Force. SquareSoft had a great run on the PSOne with Chrono Chross, FF VII - IX, Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story and Xenogears. The Lunar games were great and had excellent packaging.
