I don't have IV, but have V. V is my first Civilization game (and won't be my last).

Thinking of getting the Brave New World expansion since I really enjoyed Gods and Kings. What is your guys' opinion on it. My big thing is I still want exciting things to happen in late game play. While Gods and Kings shook up the early and mid gameplay, the late game has gotten stale for me.

Civ 5 gold plus brave new world is $20 on Amazon. I was very critical of the game early in this thread. Especially the diplomacy and AI.

For those that are playing, is it worth it now? If I purposely culture bomb a city twice as a smaller nation, will they actually attack me or go to war? Are the AI leaders not mentally unstable anymore? Threatening followed by a peace offering? Do their personalities work now like war monger has a short fuse, etc, like in civ 4?

I bought this game a long time ago, but it ran like CRAP on my old laptop. Just installed it on my new laptop and it runs like a dream. Excited to actually get to play this game after having it collect dust for like a year!

I went back to ciV a few weeks ago after being booted from my console tv by a winter break invasion of college age offspring (aside: empty nesting is great)

It seems I have a lot more gameplay available than when I used to play and the opening splash screen is Gods and Kings. But I'm certain I never bought an expansion or even DLC. Did some patch include some of the expansions' game play for free? I'm also pretty sure a couple of my enemies in my current game are not original versions civs.

Very puzzling. Regardless, the game is great. Always liked it and the current version I'm playing is terrific fun. The drunks, ah, college kids have left and I'm still cranking on my Pc

I bought Brave New World, but I've been playing much more Gods and Kings. It has a much more Civ 4 feel, which I prefer, plus I'm not a big fan on the increased emphasis on Caravan trading. Love the culture aspect and the ideologies, but hate the caravan stuff

This is a very good game and the expansions are great and actually worth the money unlike other DLC for other games.

Also, damn the french.

Civ 5 +gods and kings is part of a Sid Meier's humble bundle. For $15 is a steal. I would buy it but I already own everything on the list!

Finally...got the complete edition.

Rookie level on Civ V though for the first round...i expect i will up my difficulty next game I run. Lol.
